To keep your browsing experience fast, reliable and secure, Firefox will not activate NPAPI plugins such as Adobe Flash by default. Instead, Firefox lets you choose whether or not to allow the plugin to run on a website.
How click to activate works
If Firefox blocks a plugin, rather than seeing content, you"ll see a message prompting you to click to run the plugin, such as Adobe Flash.
On some sites, you"ll see just a blank rectangle, and the plugin notification icon will appear toward the left end of the address bar.
If you click the message or the notification icon to activate the plugin, Firefox will prompt you with these options:
- Allow : Activates the plugin on the website, only for a single visit. To automatically activate the plugin for all future visits to that site, check the Remember this decision checkbox.
- Don"t Allow : Dismisses the notification prompt without activating the plugin.
If you click to activate and allow the plugin, the missing content will load normally. (If it doesn"t, click the reload button in the toolbar to reload the page and try again.)
When is it okay to activate a plugin?
In a situation like this, you can make a smart choice depending on your current task:
- If you"re using a trusted site like a special site for your work or school, you might feel safe enough to enable a plugin in order to view the site"s content.
- If you don"t fully trust a site , for example, you arrived at the site by following a link, you probably do not want to activate the plugin.
Can I set a plugin to always activate?
To set Firefox to always activate a plugin:
Click the menu button
, click
Add-ons
and select Plugins
.
Find the plugin and click the ellipsis (3-dot) icon, then
select Always Activate
from the drop-down menu. This will activate the plugin automatically and you will no longer get messages to run the plugin.
There are three different types of Flash Players: an ActiveX version for Internet Explorer, a Chrome version built into the browser and a plugin version for Firefox and some other browsers. If you want Flash to work in Firefox you must install the plugin version, as explained above.
"Run Adobe Flash" prompts

Чуть ранее, я писал о проблеме с Adobe Flash Player в браузере Mozilla . На данный момент, наверное, можно сказать, что проблема решена.
В результате тестов я пришел к выводу, что в плохой работе видео виноват именно Adobe Flash Player. Не Youtube, который, кстати, судя по-всему, частично или полностью, отказался от Flash и перешел на HTML5 с января этого года, не браузер Mozilla Firefox, а именно Adobe Flash Player. Удивляет, конечно, криворукость программеров из Adobe, но что поделать.
Решение проблем с проигрыванием видео следующее: методом перебора подбираем подходящую версию Adobe Flash Player. Версии, нет нужды об этом говорить, нужно брать с официального сайта Adobe, а то можно получить ситуацию.
В моём случае, заработал Adobe Flash Player 10.3, датированный апрелем 2013 года. Вот такая ерунда: чтобы нормально работали встроенные видео на сайтах, пришлось откатить версию Flash Player с 17-й на 10-ю.
Вопрос решился методом перебора версий флэша. Ставил 16-ю - глюки остались. Ставил 15-ю, 11-ю - глюки все равно были. И вот так дошёл до 10-й версии, с которой всё работает отлично.
Единственное "НО". Мы все знаем, что старые версии Flash Player грешат уязвимостями и поэтому, вам решать, работать или нет со старыми версиями. На всякий случай, почитайте, как правильно .
Ну, а если решились на это, то после установки старой версии Flash Player будьте готовы к тому, что при заходе на любой сайт, где требуется флэш, будет такая надпись:
Обновление Flash Player, скорее всего, приведет опять к его неработоспособности, поэтому есть единственный выход: разрешать и запоминать работу Flash Player для каждого конкретного сайта. Разрешенный, он не будет напоминать о себе в следующий раз.

Может столкнуть каждый пользователь. Даже самый аккуратный и педантичный человек, следящий за обновлениями важных программ для своего персонального компьютера, не застрахован от ошибок в системе или некорректной работы той или иной утилиты.
Если Flash Player не работает в Firefox, можно это исправить следующим образом:
Зайти на официальный сайт технической поддержки продукции «Adobe» и заглянуть в рубрику «Справка по Flash Player».
В открывшейся новой вкладке появится доступное для понимания описание в пять шагов для проверки и установки необходимого модуля.
Шаг первый – проверка актуальности программного обеспечения Adobe Flash Player. Если всё хорошо, то высветится подобная табличка, если нет, информация будет соответствующая.
Вторым шагом, если есть проблемы, будет установка Флэш Плейера на пользовательский персональный компьютер. Для этого необходимо пройти по соответствующей ссылке.
Третьим шагом будет сама установка программы.
Шаг четвёртый – это активация плагина. На сайте разработчиков представлены подробные инструкции к самым популярным поисковым системам, как для операционной системы Windows, так и для Mac OS. Рекомендации для Mozilla Firefox схожи с рекомендациями к браузерам Google Chrome и Opera . Если научиться исправлять подобные ошибки в одном интернет обозревателе, проблем с другими не будет.
Для этого необходимо зайти в меню настроек в раздел «Дополнения», далее во вкладку «Плагины» и удостоверится, что модуль «Shockwave Flash» присутствует и активен.
