USB driver for connection Alcatel phone One Touch to your computer. Versions are provided for Qualcomm and MTK platforms. The driver is suitable for everyone Windows versions.

Let's consider in detail the installation of both versions. If you are sure that your phone has an MTK processor, then installation will be as simple as possible for you. Unpack the archive and run the "Driver 1.0 Setup" file. Despite the fact that the installer does not have Russian language, you can easily install the driver, leaving all settings unchanged.

If you're not sure which processor your phone has, choose the second download option, which actually contains drivers for both platforms. Unpack the archive and run the Install.vbs file. If the script gives an error that it cannot find the path, then open the MTK and Qualcomm folders one by one and run the install.exe file in each folder. The installer has no interface and installs the driver in the background. You can also install the driver through the search dialog Windows drivers(if for some reason the driver cannot be installed automatically). In the driver search dialog, you need to specify the path to the entire unpacked archive.

This driver will allow you to connect your phone to your computer like a flash drive. You will be able to view it file system. However, you can use the Alcatel PC Suite program for greater convenience in working with phone content. It will allow you to view contacts, call logs, SMS, tasks in the organizer and much more. The program has a nice interface and fairly easy-to-use features.

Competition in the segment inexpensive smartphones has always been strong enough. With the advent of cheap quad-core chips from MediaTek, it flared up even more, because every second-tier manufacturer considers it their duty to release a similar device that will appeal to the majority of users. Video review and unboxing

Design, construction and equipment

There are several versions of the device. In addition to single-SIM and dual-SIM, there is a modification with support for LTE networks, but it differs in hardware and screen, and it’s not in a hurry to come to our country yet, so we got a version with support for two microSIM cards. There are two colors - white and black. The phone comes in a traditional box, which highlights its main features. Interestingly, Snap partners with Le Tour De France and has P2i splash water protection. Inside is the device itself (we got it in black), various instructions, good earbuds with a call answering button, a microUSB-USB cable and a unit charger(1000 mAh).

On the front side of the smartphone, in addition to the 4.5” qHD screen, made using TFT technology and far from the best quality, but covered with Dragontrail glass, you can see light and proximity sensors, 1.3 MP front camera, LED, earpiece and three touch control keys under the display with a very bright white backlight. There is nothing on the left side of the device; on the right you can only see the volume rocker. The top end is equipped with a 3.5 mm headphone jack and a power button, and the bottom is equipped with a microUSB port and a microphone.

On the back there is an 8-megapixel camera with autofocus and flash, a second microphone, and a multimedia speaker. Slots for two micro-SIM and a microSD memory card are hidden under the cover. The battery of the new product is not removable.

The smartphone lies very comfortably in the hand, but the glossy, easily soiled body and the not-so-high-quality TFT screen somewhat spoil the impression, as a result of which the Snap feels very budget-friendly, especially compared to the Alcatel One smartphone Touch Idol(review), sold for the same 9,990 rubles. Simple appearance, but interesting insides. Perhaps this is how this device can be characterized.

Software

Unlike Alcatel One Touch Star (review) and Idol, Snap works under Android control 4.2.1 Jelly Bean with all its inherent features. The interface itself, however, is somewhat simpler, it is a little more “bare”, and the pre-installed software does not differ from the other two models, so I will not focus on this, but will only talk about a couple of differences.

The BesAudEnh headphone audio amplifier has appeared in Sound Profiles, making the sound larger, but much dirtier. In the battery settings, only the percentage status remains (the ability to save processor power is no longer available); in Gestures, the ability to lock the screen with your palm has disappeared. The SwiftKey 3 keyboard is still pre-installed and available to select as your primary typing method, which is nice.

Otherwise, the software is identical, with the exception of the SIM card switching manager in Snap. Its functionality is standard for Android, like all other programs.

Camera

The 8-megapixel module with autofocus, flash and support for Full HD video recording produces very decent quality for its class, both photos and videos. I would like to note the fast focusing when recording videos, the electronic stabilizer is not the worst, and high-quality sound recording. Photos come out without much noise, even in low light conditions. Perhaps this is one of the best 8-megapixel cameras among inexpensive smartphones. Examples:

Performance and tests

The smartphone is built on a 4-core MT6589 processor with a frequency of 1.2 GHz, has 1 GB random access memory and PowerVR SGX544 graphics chip. This hardware is more than enough for the device to operate comfortably, but, alas, only in theory, since Snap sometimes lags for unknown reasons.
