On the technical side, both search engines allow dynamic searches as you enter keywords. This significantly speeds up the search good results. Comparing different queries, we must admit that sometimes Google wins, sometimes Bing.

Mapping services are closely related to search engines. Both providers have their own versions of this service. The maps contain links to the places found, and for the places found, maps of the corresponding areas are immediately included.

Bing's home page is prettier and the results are more organized. The main page search results provided by the services, however, are almost the same.
The Bing search engine has a number of unique capabilities, which sets it apart from other search engines. Due to constant competition with Google, the system is regularly updated and introduces new features, among which the following can be noted:
Each user can choose the format for displaying snippets in search results. For example, a short or full description, etc.;
the ability to select the number of sites displayed on one search page, as well as the method of opening new sites (in a new or current tab/window);

Promoting Internet projects in Bing requires certain knowledge and skills. Some ranking factors are different from those that are suitable for Google, and sometimes the exact opposite. Sometimes something that has a positive effect on website promotion in one search engine can harm website promotion in another. If you are authorized in Bing search, you will additionally have the opportunity to save places in “My Collections”.

Interface

By entering a query into the search bar, you will be taken to a page with search results.
The “All” tab is a category of results where all the material found (websites, pictures, videos, etc.) is displayed. Most often, the results look like a list of the most relevant resources (snippets) with titles and descriptions, but sometimes there are also positions with videos or images.
Above the results there are buttons for switching between categories and the “Saved” tab, where all materials saved by the user are located (section “My Collections”). The number of sites found is also displayed above the results. By default, there are 10 sites on one search page, but this value can be changed in the system settings (up to 50 sites).
Below the search results there is a switch between pages and similar search queries (they are also located to the right of the results).
"Images"
The “Images” tab shows images, pictures, and photographs relevant to the request. In addition to the standard menu, filters are also located above the search results.
Filters allow you to sort all found files according to several criteria:
Image size. Allows you to select small, medium, large or extra large images. If desired, you can set the dimensions manually (in pixels);
Blooming. Allows you to select pictures of a specific color or with a predominantly selected color. In addition, you can separately find black and white images or only color ones;
Like. Allows you to find images of a certain type (photo, picture, line drawing, animated GIF, transparent PNG);
Layout. Allows you to select the image format (square, portrait, landscape);
To people. Allows you to find only photos with faces or only shoulder-length portraits. Very convenient if you are looking for photos or images of people;
Date. Allows you to search for pictures posted at a specific time (last 24 hours, last week, last month or year);
Licenses. Searches for images with the selected license type (Creative Commons, Public Domain, Free to Distribute and Use, free change, distribution and use).
In the top right corner, you can disable (or strengthen) the Safe Search feature, which is enabled by default.
The “Filter” button hides or, conversely, opens a menu with the filters described above.
The search results page is the same as in the case of images, but instead of photos, videos relevant to the user’s request will be displayed here.
The filters here are as follows:
Length - allows you to select the length of video recordings (less than 5 minutes, 5–20 minutes, more than 20 minutes);
Date - similar to images, by publication date;
Resolution - allows you to find videos of a certain quality (from 360 to 1080p);
Source - allows you to specify a specific site from which you want to search for videos (for example, YouTube);
Price - free or paid videos.
In the upper right corner you can configure the “Safe Search” function and hide/show filters.
"News"
This section displays news relevant to the request. They can be sorted by category, time of publication and sources.
By default, this section is empty. To display news for queries in Russian, you must specify the country “Russia” in the search settings.
"Saved"
An additional “Saved” tab appears in the search results. This contains all user-saved materials.
MSN is the home page of the Bing search engine. If desired, you can install it in your browser.
The start page contains many useful information and built-in functions. For example, there is integration with Skype, Microsoft Office, Facebook and other popular services. Thus, it turns out that even the Bing search engine, which does not officially work with Russia, can be very useful to us, due to the fact that it still indexes sites in RuNet and has unique operators in its arsenal.
As for the success of Microsoft's new search engine, experts tend to attribute it to two main factors. As for promotion, it is not yet clear how effective website promotion with links works in this search engine. This search engine has its own ranking algorithm; it is somewhat reminiscent of Google’s ranking algorithm three years ago, plus some other developments. Since this search engine is in little demand in our country, there is not much specific information in RuNet about the technology of the Bing search engine.
In general, the entire history of search engines is full of drama; the Internet market is the most dynamic market, so one search leader was often replaced by another leader.
In addition, it is worth noting such an important factor in the popularity of Bing as an improved search for media files, which provides ample opportunities for sorting search results that are not available in other search services.
As for the ranking algorithm of this search engine, it also has some features. First of all, it is worth noting that Bing has an extremely negative attitude towards sites promoted using search spam methods, fining such resources for the slightest mistakes. Secondly, this search service is very good at sites that use a large number of flash elements, which cannot be said about many other search engines. The third feature of the Bing search algorithm is its relationship to keyword density. If for successful promotion in other search engines, site texts must contain from 5 to 8% keywords, then Bing considers the natural key density to be 3%.

Unfortunately, such a program is not yet available for Russian users, but who knows how things will be in the future.
Secondly, the system takes care of the security of the information provided with special care, protecting users from malicious programs and files.
That's why you automatically get access to only trusted sources in Bing search results.
There are warnings that Bing issues if a site is not trustworthy, in addition, links to particularly dangerous sources are removed in accordance with system policy.
Now let's turn to the settings - as previously mentioned, access is at the top of the page in the right corner.
First come the general parameters and the first step is to set the degree of filtering of the results returned during the request.
This applies to adult content; also, if such content is not registered by the system, the user can report it (the filter can be disabled if desired, made moderate or strict).

In addition, here you can set parameters such as opening links in a new window and the language of the pages displayed.
For example, you can select the function of issuing only in specific languages - a total of 42 items.
The parameters for the home page are the choice of the size of the background image; also, if it is not a static, but a moving picture, you can set the capabilities when viewing a video or panorama.
News – select search options (open in a new tab is set by default).
Countries and regions. Here you can independently switch to the version of the site provided for a specific region (also set automatically).

Searching Internet pages. The search bar automatically remembers the last queries entered, which become visible when you start working with the system.
When you fill it out, relevant possible options are displayed.

Not all videos are available for viewing; they may be protected (which will be indicated when you hover your mouse over the file).
You can immediately see the source from which the material was taken, as well as those parts that are being played in advance (there is a function to switch between them).
The filters are quite useful:
- Firstly, this is the same ranking for inappropriate content;
- In addition, there is a selection by duration - short videos (up to five minutes), medium (up to twenty minutes) and long (anything over);
- Date – by time of addition;
- Resolution – from 360 to 1080p and higher;
