- Disconnect Alcatel 4027D from the PC, install the battery and start the device by long pressing the key "Inclusion".
- After a long, first startup after installing the system, you need to determine the Android parameters,
and then you can use the restored device with the official firmware version.
Method 3: Modified recovery
The above-described methods for flashing Pixi 3 (4.5) assume the installation of the official version of the system 01001. There are no updates for the OS from the manufacturer, and it is only possible to truly transform the model in question in software terms using custom firmware.
Despite the availability of many different modified Android solutions for the Alcatel 4027D, we cannot recommend using firmware that is based on a system version higher than 5.1. Firstly, the small amount of RAM on the device does not allow you to comfortably use Android 6.0, and secondly, various components often do not work in such solutions, in particular the camera, audio playback, etc.
As an example, we install custom CyanogenMod 12.1 in Alcatel Pixie3. This is firmware based on Android 5.1, practically free of defects and specially prepared to work on the device in question.
- An archive containing everything you need to Android installations 5.1 can be downloaded from the link below. Download and unpack the package into a separate directory on the PC disk.
- We place the resulting folder on a MicroSD card installed in the smartphone.
Obtaining Superuser rights
The first thing you will need to replace the software of the model in question is obtaining root rights. Superuser rights for Alcatel One Touch Pixi 3 (4.5) 4027D can be obtained using KingROOT. The process is described in detail in the lesson at the link below:
Installing TWRP
Installation of custom firmware into the smartphone in question is carried out using a functional tool - a modified TeamWin Recovery environment (TWRP).
But before this becomes possible, the recovery must appear in the device. To equip Alcatel 4027D the required component do the following.
All further manipulations on the smartphone’s firmware will be carried out through TWRP. If you have no experience working in the environment, it is highly recommended that you familiarize yourself with the following material:
Memory re-partitioning
Almost all custom firmware for the model in question is installed on re-allocated memory.
To carry out the operation, follow the steps below, and the result is the following:
- The section is reduced "CUSTPACK" up to 10MB and a modified image of this memory area is written;
- The volume of the area increases to 1 GB "SYSTEM", which is possible due to the use of memory that is freed as a result of decreasing "CUSTPACK";
- Expands to 2.2 GB partition "USERDATA", also due to the volume released after compression "CUSTPACK".
Installing CyanogenMod
Any other custom solution is installed in exactly the same way, only in step 1 of the instructions above you select a different package.
Additionally. Google Services
Installed according to the instructions above, modified Android version contains Google applications and services. But not all of their creators bring these components into their solutions.
