iPhone presentation on September 12. Presentation of a new line of smartphones from Apple: how good are the new iPhones?

Apple has always believed that technology imbued with humanity can change people's lives and change the world. Not a single device in our lifetime has had such a great impact on the world as the iPhone; nothing else, nothing else has become such an integral part of human life. It hasn’t changed the capabilities of everything as much as the iPhone. About it iPhone 8 presentation in Russian.

It's amazing how much the iPhone has impacted the world and impacts each of us every day. And our intention with the iPhone concept is to give people something so powerful, so immersive, that people forget that they're interacting with technology. Over the past year, we have strived to develop new technologies that enable us to do just that. Tim Cook.

Innovation from Apple

The first iPhone changed the way technology interacts using multitouch— we started “touching the program” rather than pressing buttons. It was magic.

AppStore has changed the way we play, work, interact, spawned entire industries, not to mention companies. We have allowed people to visit places that were previously unimaginable, such as the iris of the eye. We have changed the way people interact.

And Siri allowed us to make artificial intelligence give us additional features voice interaction. We've even revolutionized security and privacy with Camera Capability mobile phone also changed our lives very much.

Over the past decade, with our innovations, one after another, after another, we have increasingly expanded the boundaries of the world and brought us to the current moment. And now we can create devices that can have much greater intelligence, provide much more opportunities and are much more adapted to each of us than before.

We are beginning a new era of iPhone development, right now, we are watching the presentation of iPhone 8 in Russian.

Features of the new iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus

The smartphone has an updated design: glass on the front and back, and a frame made of 7000 series aerospace aluminum around it. There are only 3 colors left in the line: silver space gray and the new golden pink. iPhone glass seven-layer, which makes it stronger. Protection against dust and moisture remains at the same level and complies with the ip67 standard.

While the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus still mostly look like the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus, rear end now it's all glass. And Apple has made sure it's the strongest glass ever used in a smartphone. The side frame is made of stainless steel, which is easily fused between two pairs of glass.

iPhone 8 display

High quality Retina display True Tone, display resolutions are the same as in previous models. The matrix is also IPS. But the stereo speakers became louder by 25%.

The diagonal will be 4.7 inches for the iPhone 8 and 5.5 inches for the iPhone 8 Plus. At the same time, in terms of dimensions, nothing will change radically, since big screen compensated by the absence of side frames.

Moreover, the newest matrix does not require backlighting, so the screen panel will be extremely thin. Colors will become more realistic and colorful, and viewing angles will increase significantly.

The presentation of the gadget also confirmed the presence of True Tone technology in the new product, which is responsible for adapting color temperature. This technology has been successfully used in iPad Pro, and now it’s moving to smartphones.

The main feature of True Tone is special light sensors that monitor the surrounding space and then automatically adjust the optimal color temperature.

iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus stuffing

iPhone 8 presentation and iPhone X in Russian showed that the choice of engineers in favor of innovative Apple processor A11 is obvious. It's built on 10nm technological process, and TSMC, which is a long-time and reliable partner of the Apple giant, is actively involved in the production of the chip. Not only energy efficiency will increase, but also overall performance.

At the heart of the new iPhone 8 and 8 Plus is the new A11 Bionic chip. And this could be the biggest update between the iPhone 7 and 8 generations. The new chip is a 6-core system with 2 high-performance cores and 4 highly efficient cores. We've seen early benchmarks for this chip and it's a monster. It's not only faster than the Galaxy S8, but also faster than the MacBook Pro! High performance cores are 25% faster than the A10 Fusion chip, and high-performance cores - 70% faster than A10 Fusion chips

Moreover, to improve the situation, Apple has developed its own GPU this time. This is a triple core chip. This is 30% faster than the graphics core in the A10 Fusion chip.

Upcoming 5.8-inch OLED iPhone X and 5.5-inch iPhone 8 Plus will offer 3GB random access memory, and the 4.7-inch iPhone 8 will include 2 GB of RAM.

iPhone 8 announcement many are looking forward to it. In the meantime, it is necessary to note the appearance of 3 GB of RAM for stable and smooth operation. As for file storage, its size will be 64 to 256 GB.

Thanks to the iris scanner, smartphone security will increase to unprecedented heights. Using this scanner, you can not only unlock your device, but also purchase goods through the Apple Pay service.

The Taptic Engine is planned to be seriously improved in order to implement more complex vibrations. At the same time, the 3D Touch sensor will also undergo modifications that will add new pressure levels, and sensitivity will be increased.

Portrait lighting

Portrait Lighting is a brand new feature that takes portrait mode to a whole new level. It provides professional Control lighting levels for portrait shots on your iPhone. And all you have to do is concentrate on the subject and change the lighting effect between half a dozen presets. They range from natural light, studio light to stage lighting. The stage lights basically turn the entire background black. Only your object is visible.

You can preview this feature live by taking a photo or changing the lighting effect from the Photos app later. Portrait and portrait mode is only available for the rear camera. It is not available for a front-facing camera such as the iPhone X.
7. 4K at 60 Fps and Slo-mo at 1080p.

The new iPhones are finally fast enough that they can capture 4k at 60fps for you. You won't need this in everyday life, but if you want to get more information from fast-moving subjects (like your kids or pets), then 4k at 60fps can be a great thing.

Moreover, the Slo-mo function is also better. You can now shoot in Full HD 1080p resolution at 240fps.

When will iPhone 8 come out and price?

The price for the eight starts from 700 bucks, the iPhone 8 Plus from $800, in In Russia prices start from 57,000 and 65,000 rubles US pre-orders will begin from September 15 The smartphone will go on sale on September 22. In Russia a few days later.

13/09/2017 - 13:59

Yesterday, the official presentation of the new line of smartphones from the manufacturer Apple took place live. Attention was paid to three models at once - two “eights” and the new flagship iPhone X.

As for the first heroes of the presentation - iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 plus, their updates turned out to be quite expected. Manufacturers have improved the camera and added wireless charging. Also in the iPhone 8, RAM was increased to 3 GB, and there was more space for data storage - now up to 256 GB. The cost of the “eight” will start from 699 US dollars, and the “plus” subtype from 799 dollars. You can order new items from September 15th.

But what the developers did in the iPhone X goes beyond the generally accepted ideas not only about smartphones, but also about iPhones in general. Firstly, this is the display. The new flagship does not have a Home button; the screen takes up the entire “face”. And only on a barely protruding narrow strip at the bottom of the display are a speaker for conversation, a camera and a number of other necessary sensors.

Further, the iPhone was first developed with an OLED display, so you should expect a bright and rich picture from the X model. But most of all, Apple manufacturers were able to surprise at the time of the presentation by replacing the fingerprint scanner with a Face ID facial scanner. The developer claims that iPhone models X is the most advanced technology of its kind.

This year, the iPhone turned exactly ten years since the release of the first model; in honor of this, the presentation of new models was different from what we had seen before. As expected, Apple showed two new generations of smartphones at once. The Cupertino team also presented updated Apple Watch and Apple TV with 4K support.

Apple Watch Series 3

The first Apple Watch appeared quite recently - not even two and a half years ago, but it has already managed to outsell Rolexes. At least that's what was said at the presentation. But this is not surprising, because good Rolexes cost hundreds of thousands, and some - millions of rubles. And the price for Apple Watch Series 3 will be slightly lower: $329 without cellular communication and 399 - with an LTE module.

The new Apple Watch now comes with cellular support, allowing you to leave your smartphone behind and go for a run, grab some bread, or walk the dog while still being connected. I immediately want to give such a watch to all those who often forget or are lazy to take a smartphone with them, horrifying most people who have long been accustomed to the fact that any person can be heard at any moment just by tapping the screen a few times. Of course, in addition to calls, other benefits of civilization will be available. For example, streaming music from Apple Music. But here you will have to fork out for wireless AirPods.

The design remains the same, except that the watch has become a little thicker, but the advantage is that you can safely use straps from previous models. Whereas appearance While it has undergone only minor changes, for example, a new case color, as well as a partly red crown in the LTE version, the “filling” has evolved much more. According to Apple, the new dual-core processor is 70% faster than the old chip in terms of performance. And the W2 chip, which is responsible for wireless connections, will help the watch be more energy efficient than before.

With the new watch, Apple has put more emphasis on monitoring your heart health. Apple Watch will now not only show you more detailed statistics your heart rate, but also notify you about arrhythmia, as well as when your heart rate increases despite the fact that you are inactive. And watchOS 4 will be released soon – September 19th.

Apple TV 4K

Better late than never - the Cupertino company has released the fifth generation of Apple TV, which now supports 4K (NVIDIA Shield TV owners latest Google Chromecast, video set-top boxes from Microsoft and Sony and other modern video players smiled sarcastically). To highlight its lag behind other market participants, Apple made a very nice gesture towards its users: HD movies from its store will become free, and 4K versions will cost no more than HD previously cost. Moreover, pictures that you have already purchased in HD will automatically become available to you in 4K. It's also nice that new console the TV will not cost much more than the previous one - $179 and $199 for the 32- and 64-GB versions, respectively, while the previous generation device, which will still be on sale, can be purchased for $149. In Russia, a new 32 GB set-top box will cost 13,490 rubles, and a 64 GB set-top box will cost 14,990 rubles.

Besides more high resolution The now popular HDR technology is also supported - High Dynamic Range, which makes the picture - no, not more realistic - more saturated and bright. Relatively speaking, just like the HDR mode in mobile camera makes the colors in your photos much more impressive.

Connect Apple TV 4K to home network and the TV will not be difficult. For this, the set-top box has HDMI 2.0 ports, a gigabit Ethernet connector, a Wi-Fi module with support for IEEE 802.11ac (2.4/5 GHz), and Bluetooth 5.0. The kit also includes a remote control with a built-in microphone for interacting with Siri.

iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus

No iPhone 7s and 7s Plus - Apple immediately jumped over its own tradition of adding the letter s to the previous number in odd years, implying that there is not much new in new smartphones.

Are there many differences between the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus from previous models? Eg, back panel became glass. But not only for the sake of beauty, but also for wireless charging. Even though Apple has said that the new smartphones use the strongest glass ever, I'm sure many will prefer not to take the risk of removing the phone from the case.

iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus received 4.7- and 5.5-inch displays, respectively, with support for 3D Touch. Also, both smartphones have stereo speakers. According to the Apple company, the speakers are 25% louder than those in the iPhone 7. And the low frequencies are deeper, but for some reason it was not said by what percentage.

By the way, not only the speakers have received improvements - Apple has also updated the processor, now it is six-core (only recently the company switched to four cores for the first time) and is called A11 Bionic. They promise 25-70% more performance. What are the percentages? At the presentation they said that this is the most powerful mobile chip that any smartphone has ever received. We can only take their word for it, since Apple didn’t bother to show any numbers in comparison with anyone else. The graphics component has also been updated, so we expect excellent results in mobile games from the iPhone 8.

The A11 includes a separate chip for processing images from cameras, which helps to focus faster in low light and eliminate noise. The iPhone 8 received a single 12-megapixel camera with optical stabilization, and the iPhone 8 Plus received two cameras of 12 megapixels each. One lens has an aperture of f/1.8, the other - f/2.8. Much has been said about life will be better now new cameras are better than the previous ones in all respects: they produce less noise, take more beautiful pictures, etc. But since users have become accustomed to the “everything gets better, just trust us,” Apple also showed off something more tangible—an improved version of Portrait mode. The improvements are that you can now change the lighting conditions on a photo you've already taken. For example, you can darken the background or make it completely dark.

Video can now be shot in 4K (sorry, owners of the new Canon 6D Mark II), and at speeds of up to 60 frames per second. And in Full HD - up to 240 frames per second (twice as fast as before). In addition, Apple again advertised what wonderful prospects await all of us with the entry of augmented reality into our lives. Use cases included the ability to look at a baseball field through a camera and smartphone screen to see player captions in real time. Or, for example, you can look at the night sky through your smartphone and see not only the usual stars, but also, again, the names of the constellations. Finally, one of the startups showed the gameplay of their game, tailored for AR. Basically, it was very similar to what we already saw on - a guy walking with a smartphone around an empty table as if he was filming it. At the same time, a real battle is unfolding on the screen of his smartphone on some distant planet. But it feels like all this is happening right on this very table. And the position of the smartphone and you relative to the table determines which part of the game map you currently see.

There are now only two models with different amounts of memory to choose from, and the difference is quite large. Minimum - 64 GB of internal memory. The next, also known as the last step, is 256 GB. iPhone 8 starts at $699, iPhone 8 Plus starts at $799.

iPhone X

Apparently, one new iPhone once a year won’t surprise anyone. You won't be surprised by two. Perhaps that's why Apple decided to introduce three at once this year. It should be noted that almost everything was justified.

But first things first. The iPhone X is very different from the aforementioned iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus. As expected, the display takes up almost the entire front panel of the smartphone, leaving no room even for Touch ID. The diagonal is almost like that of phablets, 5.8 inches, and the resolution is 2436x1125 pixels (458 ppi). The matrix for the iPhone X is made using OLED technology, but, according to Apple, it is devoid of the typical disadvantages of this kind of matrix.

There really is no Home button anymore. Therefore, interaction with a smartphone has also changed. Instead of clicking on it, you now need to swipe up on the screen, starting from the very bottom of the display. And to prevent your iPhone X, which lacks Touch ID, from being unlocked by just anyone, Apple has equipped it with Face ID—facial recognition. They promise that it works even in the dark.

And even if you decide to wear glasses, a hat or grow a beard. But it won’t work if someone tries to unlock your smartphone using your photo or even your mask. However, Apple admits that approximately one person in a million will still be able to unlock your gadget. And if you have a twin, then he has all the more chances to rummage through your phone.

What is important in our world is the promise that storage and comparison mathematical model your face is performed entirely on the device itself and does not extend to any servers.

As for the main camera, the iPhone X also has two 12 megapixel modules, but the aperture is slightly better: f/1.8 for one camera and f/2.4 for the second. Very good optical stabilization is promised. Of course, it also supports augmented reality and a new portrait mode with lighting changes. Under the hood of the new iPhone X is the same A11 Bionic chip as in the iPhone 8/8 Plus.

Concerning battery life(which they “forgot” to mention for the iPhone 8/8 Plus), then Apple promised that the iPhone X will work two hours longer on a single charge than the iPhone 7. The iPhone X also supports wireless charging. The special wide wireless charging module is called and can accommodate not only the iPhone X, but also the Apple Watch and AirPods in an optional case.

Finally, the price starts at $999. True, the start of sales will be much later. If the iPhone 8/8 Plus will launch in September, then the iPhone X will appear on store shelves (and even then hardly in Russia at first) starting on November 3.

Apple celebrates the tenth anniversary of its first smartphone with the release of iPhone X and iPhone 8: watch the presentation online 09/12/2017.

A new, special anniversary iPhone from Apple will be presented today, September 12, 2017, at 20:00 Moscow time.

Apple is celebrating a decade since the release of its first smartphone and will introduce three new iPhone models: iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus (updated iPhone 7), as well as a new version - iPhone X.

Watch the online broadcast of the presentation of the iPhone 8 and iPhone X on the evening of September 12 at 20:00 Moscow time.

Since the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus will be the successors to the seventh version of the smartphone, while the iPhone X will receive premium characteristics, let’s dwell on the characteristics of the new iPhone X and everything we know about the new gadget.

Smartphone Apple iPhone X will be universal and unique in its internal content and external characteristics. The price for it will fluctuate within a thousand dollars.

Obviously, for the first time in many years, the iPhone will receive a radical redesign: an edge-to-edge display thanks to the abandonment of physical Home buttons. Some sources claim that the Touch ID fingerprint scanner will be built into the screen, others - that Apple will abandon Touch ID altogether in favor of a new method - a facial recognition system that recognizes the user in millionths of a second and can work even in the dark.

The dimensions of the iPhone will be comparable to the 4.7-inch version of the smartphone, but the screen diagonal will be closer to 5.5 inches. Presumably, the new product will have a screen with a diagonal of 5.8 inches and a usable area of 5.15 inches. The rest of the space will be occupied by the so-called functional area, which will look like something between bottom panel Android tools And Touch Bar new MacBook Pro.

For the first time in history, the display will not use the usual liquid crystals, but OLED technology, which will allow Apple not only to provide users with a screen with improved contrast and color reproduction, but also to make the device thinner and more energy efficient.

Replaces aluminum, which is used in the manufacture of the back panel iPhone latest five years, glass will come. The abandonment of the metal case is due to the desire to equip the gadget with wireless charging.

New iPhone 8 processor

The processor will be called A11 and will be much more productive and energy efficient than the A10. It is possible that in new version iPhone will also increase the amount of RAM – up to 4 GB. The basic version will have 64 GB of internal memory, followed by a 128 GB model and, for the first time in iPhone history, a top-end version with 512 GB of memory will appear!

Another innovation of the iPhone 8 will be related to cameras. On the front, a camera with improved resolution and a 3D scanner for facial recognition is expected. According to rumors, both rear cameras will have optical stabilization in the iPhone 8.

Regarding color, then new iPhone, judging by the latest leaks on the network, will be offered in three color options - traditional black and silver, as well as Blush Gold - reminiscent of either bronze or copper. Obviously, this option will be in greatest demand.

Presentation Apple September 12 began with the opening of its venue, the Steve Jobs Theater, where journalists were allowed in for the first time. This gigantic building is located in the center of the Santa Clara Valley in California. Apple proudly states that this rather large area was previously completely covered with asphalt, but now more than 9,000 thousand trees grow here. The theater itself, of course, is designed to be the most advanced and cool.

Apple Watch Series 3

The first major announcement was the updated line smart watch Apple. The main innovation is a communication module. The company's engineers have come up with a trick: the screen itself is used as an antenna, and each device has a built-in electronic SIM card (the number will match the one used by your iPhone). At the same time, the dimensions remain the same, and the design of the case differs only in the red control wheel. Of course, there will be a new color, gray ceramic, and a bunch of new straps.

Collection of orders for new watch models will begin on September 15, and sales will begin on September 22. This, however, does not concern Russia. Our recommended price for the device will start from 27,490 rubles.

Apple TV

Apple recalled that this year the company received an Emmy for integrating Siri into Apple TV - they say, thanks to this, television has become even more accessible to ordinary users.

The main announcement regarding television was the upcoming wave of 4K content: both films and TV series. They promise that 4K video will be sold on iTunes at the same price as Full HD. In case you have purchased movies that will be upgraded to 4K, this version will be available for free. Apple also now fully supports HDR image brightness technology.

Also at the presentation they presented a new game from the authors of the meditative Flower, studios thatgamecompany. Simply called Sky, they offer to play using the console remote control.

iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus

Of course, two new phone models were presented. This time their body is entirely covered with glass, protected from water and available in three colors: gray, white and pink.

Inside now new processor, dubbed A11 Bionic. Calculates graphics 30% faster than the previous chip.

The phone is equipped with a 12 MP camera (Plus has two) with optical image stabilization. The innovations are mainly software: now you can change filters on the fly, and the pixels have become “deeper” (whatever that means).

The company calls the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus “ the best smartphones for shooting video: they can record videos in 4K resolution at 60 frames per second or in 1080p resolution up to 240 frames per second. That is, a slow-mo video will look even smoother and more impressive.

Another important feature Apple wants to make is augmented reality. For example, there will be games in which game objects will interact with the environment and will need to move by physically changing their position in space. This was demonstrated with a demo version of a certain multiplayer project from Directive Games.

Finally, the last "innovation" wireless charger. This will surprise some, but the iPhone 8 will use the most popular open Qi standard - that is, you won’t have to buy a new device if you already have an “energy cushion”. Otherwise, the company suggests purchasing AirPower. It can charge your phone, watch and wireless AirPods at once (but they will need a new charging box).

iPhone 8 and 8 Plus will go on sale from September 22, but not in Russia. We will cost from 56,990 and 64,990 rubles, respectively.

iPhone X

The main announcement of the presentation was not the “eight”, but what Apple calls “the future of smartphones”, the iPhone X (officially “ten”, not “ex”). The first feature is immediately visible: the phone has a frameless display on the entire front surface (except for the insert on top).

The Home button is larger; pressing it has been replaced by swiping up from the bottom edge of the screen. The new 5.8″ OLED display is called Super Retina, its screen resolution is 1125 by 2436 pixels. Thus, the pixel density per inch of the screen is as much as 521 - a record value for a smartphone.

At the same time, the lower part of the screen is allocated to the “functional area” and in many applications this looks strange:

The insert on top was made for a reason. Of course it remained there front-camera, but it is now accompanied by a bunch of sensors, including an IR depth sensor. It is needed for the new Face ID feature, which, as you might guess, will replace Touch ID. Instead of a password or fingerprint scan, the phone can verify identity by scanning the user's face.

A significant part of the presentation was devoted to explaining how Face ID works. It turns out that after “adding a face”, each time you use the phone, it studies various features of the user, constantly improving the saved virtual “cast” of the face. Therefore, Face ID recognizes a person even if he has changed his hairstyle, put on glasses or a hat, or grown a beard. For Face ID to work, the user must look at the phone - meaning, for example, children will not be able to unlock the phone of a sleeping parent.

Because the technology relies on IR depth sensors, it works well at night and at different angles. You can also pay for purchases with your phone using Face ID.

Apple says Touch ID allowed that in 1 in 50,000 cases someone else could unlock your phone. In the case of Face ID, everything is more reliable: 1 chance out of 1,000,000. The main thing is that you don’t have an evil double.

Another new product, most likely for iOS in general, is Animoji. This is the name of the creepy heirs of emoji, which retain the owner’s facial expressions and can transmit voice messages.

It seems that Apple has just submitted an idea to Sony Pictures for a sequel to a cartoon of some kind.

Finally, according to Apple, the iPhone X holds a charge 2 hours longer than the iPhone 7.

The iPhone X will go on sale in the US on November 7th for $999. In Russia, the recommended price will start from 79,990 rubles.
