Samsung galaxy note n8000 Chinese tablet with keyboard. Firmware for Chinese tablet Samsung N8000

So, we have two fakes: and, better known as Galaxy Note 2014 Edition . The history of acquiring counterfeit tablets for many is approximately the same: a market, a train station or a street, a bustling atmosphere, a certain person who needs money and does not need a tablet generously offers to purchase a tablet from his own hands and for a very low price. A receipt from Euroset (or another “network”) and a warranty card are included with the purchase. Moreover, in our case, in addition to the charger and USB adapter, the kit already included a case with a keyboard in it.

How to distinguish a fake by a receipt?

The first thing you should pay attention to is, of course, checks. Checks that appear to be genuine at first glance turn out to be fake upon closer inspection. By the way, Euroset checks are most often forged. In Euroset stores, experienced sellers will immediately find many differences between a counterfeit check and the original. According to them, cash register receipts may differ from region to region and from city to city, but regardless of this, each check of the network must contain certain information, which was not found on counterfeit checks:
- It should be written on the real check Euroset-Retail LLC , and not Euroset LLC. Check true name legal entity a retailer, as a rule, is possible either on the official websites of these retailers or in sales showrooms.
- The real receipt must contain the full name of the product. IN in this case the fake receipt did not contain the full name of the product (in our case, it should have been written on the cash register receipt Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 N8000).
- The receipt must have the serial number of the product (in our case it was not there).
- The full name of the seller must be present. The seller's name was not listed on the fraudulent check.

How to distinguish a fake by appearance devices?

Front panel appearance . As a rule, a fake tablet looks different from the original. In our case, both fakes look almost identical from the front: only the fake SM-P600 has the logo moved upward, like the original, and applied crookedly, which is visible even to the eye. The fake N8000 has the logo at the bottom, as befits a real Galaxy Note N8000. In our case, it was easy to distinguish a fake by the size of the tablet. The display diagonal of both fakes does not exceed 9 inches, instead of the required 10.1 inches!

Availability and location of ports and connectors. Paradoxically, a fake almost always differs from the original in its set of ports. This time, too, they did not at all resemble what Samsung tablets should have. The most notable thing is a separate “back” button on the top edge and a separate DC socket for power on the right (the charger included had a specific plug, not Micro-USB plug). Actually, this charger is one of the important indicators of a fake. Many people then go to stores for the same charger from “Samsung tablets” and are sincerely surprised that Samsung, it turns out, does not and never had such chargers.

Rear panel view. As for the rear panels, the scammers got something wrong here. For some reason the fake has Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 N8000 back panel very cheaply stylized to look like leather, while the fake has Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 SM-P600 the back is smooth, whereas the originals should have the opposite: real Samsung Galaxy Tab N8000 - smooth at the back, and Galaxy Note 2014 Edition - with a back under the skin. Additionally, in both cases the camera lenses are offset to the corner rather than centered.

How to distinguish a fake by its filling and functionality?

The third thing you should also pay attention to is the filling and functionality of the device. Counterfeits differ from real ones in every possible way. Some things you can easily check.

Displays. The easiest way to “see” a fake is to turn on the display. Most often, pixels are visible on them, and the colors do not look entirely natural. The displays of the fakes are terrible - with a resolution of 800x480 pixels, instead of the promised 1280x800 on Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 N8000 and set 2560×1600 for Note 10.1 SM-P600. Not to mention color rendering and matrix.

Battery. If during a 5-minute presentation of the tablet the battery charge drains by more than 1-2%, then it is most likely not the original. The battery of the fakes runs out quite quickly, literally in half an hour. In our test of two fake Samsungs, the batteries lost 10% charge in 5-7 minutes! Moreover, when charging from the mains, the charger included in the kit began to whistle and crackle.

CPU. Counterfeits use ultra-cheap processors from the company Allwinner(AnTuTu benchmark identified our tablets as Allwinner-Tablet N8000 And Allwinner-Tablet SM-P600 ). The processors of this company are very cheap: for example, the “more expensive” Allwinner A33 processor can be bought for $4 - you can imagine how much the Allwinner A23 used in these tablets costs.

Benchmarks showed that both devices are weaker than Samsung's flagship smartphone from two years ago - Samsung Galaxy S3: one was rated twice as weak, the other by about a quarter. U Allwinner SM-P600 almost half a gigabyte of RAM, which is why it turned out to be stronger, but Allwinner N8000 and only a quarter of GB! Basically, the first Apple iPad there was the same amount of RAM, and it sold well, only that was 4 years ago.

Cameras. They are very easy to check. To do this, you need to go to the camera settings and look at the maximum photo resolution. If you see that the resolution is small, then it is definitely a fake. Both fakes included in Product-test turned out to have two cameras, and both are 0.3 MP!
GPS receiver. Go to settings and see if you can enable GPS and if there are any settings for it. Or try downloading any GPS test app like GPS Test. If there is no GPS, then it will be impossible to download applications and a corresponding message will appear stating that GPS is not supported. Both of the counterfeit tablets in question did not have a GPS receiver. It is theoretically possible that there is GPS, but there is no such function in the settings, and it will not be detected by any navigation programs. True, this is almost incredible and is equivalent to their absence for most users.
Modem. If the seller (or documentation) claims that the tablet is equipped with a modem, then it should also have IMEI number. If you couldn't find it, then ask your seller to do it for you. If your tablet is equipped with a modem, IMEI numbers no, then most likely you have a fake in your hands.
. Original Samsung tablets use a proprietary interface TouchWiz. You can tell the difference by eye if you have ever seen a “naked” Android and have ever held a real Samsung tablet in your hands.

Fake

Original

Instructions for the tablet. All you have to do is look at it and read a little. In our case, the instructions for both tablets were full of typos (!), screenshots from “pure” Android, black and white pictures, an unpresentable font, which is simply incredible for the instructions for a real Samsung device.

Stylus."Trick" of the series tablets Galaxy Note- a stylus included, which the fakes did not have. It is easy to check - you just need to look at the body.
Display diagonal. If you have a ruler or a good eye, deception can be recognized in this way. The diagonal of both fakes does not exceed 9 inches, instead of the required 10.1 inches.
Built-in memory. You can check the memory in the tablet settings, but it’s safer to connect it to a computer and see how much memory is available. Instead of the promised 64 GB of internal memory, one tablet turned out to have 16 GB, and the other 4 GB of memory.

Recognize fakes with the help of manufacturer support

When purchasing goods secondhand, a person can contact Samsung support by calling the number Samsung information line 080050200 (calls are free within Ukraine), where he will be instructed on how to distinguish an original tablet from a fake one based on its settings. Counterfeits differ from the originals in almost everything: from the interface to the types of SIM cards (the latter is not relevant in our case, since there were simply no slots for SIM cards on the fakes). As a rule, each major manufacturer has its own hotline support service where you can contact for help in such cases.

The considered fakes are, of course, two special cases and do not pretend to be general. Counterfeits can differ, improve, and become more similar to the real thing. The most important piece of advice that will allow you to avoid problems is to not buy tablets secondhand, no matter how positive and honest the “seller” may seem. Remember: free cheese is only in a mousetrap! 🙂

While cases of counterfeit tablets becoming more common, we offer several ways to distinguish a counterfeit from an original.

Recently, cases of sales of counterfeit Samsung tablets have become more frequent. How to distinguish a fake from the original? During tablet tests, we examined two fake Samsung Galaxy Notes and found many differences, knowledge of which will help you avoid falling for scammers.

So, two fakes came to us through third parties: the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 SM-P600, better known as the Galaxy Note 2014 Edition. The history of acquiring counterfeit tablets for many is approximately the same: a market, a train station or a street, a bustling atmosphere, a certain person who needs money and does not need a tablet generously offers to purchase a tablet from his own hands and at a very low price. We turned to Euroset-Retail LLC for a comment, but they couldn’t tell us anything over the phone and advised us to contact law enforcement agencies. But in Euroset stores, experienced sellers immediately found many differences between the fake check and the original. — Also, the full name of the product must be on the real receipt. In this case, the fake receipt did not contain the full name of the product (in our case, Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 N8000 should have been written on the cash receipt)

— The full name of the seller must be present. The seller's name was not listed on the fraudulent check.

— Appearance of the front panel.

As a rule, a fake tablet looks different from the original. The fake has an Allwinner Tech A23 processor instead of the original Exynos 4412

- Cameras. They are very easy to check. To do this, you need to go to the camera settings and look at the maximum photo resolution. If you see that the resolution is small, then it is definitely a fake. Both fakes included in Product-test turned out to have two cameras and both are 0.3 MP!

— Counterfeits cannot be recognized using original programs, such as Samsung Kies 3, which is completely unsurprising. Unfortunately, it will be problematic to check in the field in this way.

Recognize fakes with the help of manufacturer support

We contacted Samsung's support chat, but there we were "sent" to law enforcement agencies. Then we called Samsung support at 8-800-555-55-55. There they told us that when buying a product secondhand, a person can contact them and they will instruct him on how to distinguish an original tablet from a fake one based on the settings. We were also told that the fakes differ from the originals in almost everything: from the interface to the types of SIM cards (the latter is not relevant in our case, since there was simply no slot for SIM cards on the fakes). As a rule, each major manufacturer has its own support hotline, which you can contact for help in such cases.

The considered fakes are, of course, two special cases and do not pretend to be general. Counterfeits can be different, improved, just like counterfeit checks, becoming more similar to the real thing. In this case, the easiest way would be to recognize a fake by the incorrect cash receipt(without the full name of the product and its serial number), low display resolution, the presence of a DC power socket, incorrect placement of cameras and low photo resolution, and finally, simply due to the small size of the tablets. Well, the most important piece of advice that will allow you to avoid problems is to not buy tablets secondhand, no matter how positive and honest the “seller” may seem! Remember: free cheese is only in a mousetrap.

Product-test continues to test tablets in the field. You can find the results of comparative tests of tablets in our tablet rating, where everything popular models compared with each other on the most important parameters.

Counterfeits of popular tablet models appear on sale not much later than the official start of sales. Large brands suffer the most from the actions of such “craftsmen.” Buyers who receive a counterfeit under the guise of an original Samsung Galaxy Note H8000 tablet may be forever disappointed in the brand. What can you do to avoid falling for scammers?

The level and quality of counterfeits is constantly improving. The first versions of fakes are so crude that even an inexperienced buyer can spot it. All the tips listed below are general and will certainly help you identify a fake. But do not forget that you may have a fake tablet in your hands. highest quality, and to determine its authenticity will require more attention to details and characteristics.

The photo below is an example of an original tablet and a fake. In our case, it is very easy to identify a fake, even by appearance. The size of the tablet does not correspond to reality; the Samsung logo is smaller in size. The display diagonal of the counterfeit tablet is about 9 inches. At the same time, the diagonal of the original Samsung tablet is 10.1 inches.

The fake that ended up in our hands is radically different from the original in the arrangement of ports and connectors. This is clearly visible in the photo below. Any comments here are unnecessary.

The charger of this Samsung tablet has a Micro-USB connector. Our fake is equipped with a connector of unknown origin, and this is clearly visible in the photo of the plug from charger. If you try to buy such a charger in a store, you will fail, which once again confirms the fakeness of the tablet as a whole.

Branded rear panel Samsung tablet GalaxyNoteN8000 10.1 inch - Smooth. In our fake it is stylized to look like cheap leather. Here we see the camera lens shifted to the corner, while on the original tablet it is located in the center.

After turning on the planet, the fake will allow you to calculate the low quality of the matrix and color rendition, including noticeable pixels on cheap copies. The display resolution of the original Samsung Galaxy Note tablet is 1280x800 pixels, while the fake one is only 800x480.

The fake tablet runs on the cheapest Chinese Allwinner processor. For example, the most expensive processor from this company costs no more than $4. It's not difficult to guess what quality our processor has. The original tablet uses Exynos 4412 processors.

The camera is another weak point of any fake. In our case, the tablet manufacturer installed a 0.3 MP camera in his “work of art”.

Also, a fake can be identified by the small amount of built-in memory, the appearance of icons, desktop, installed applications and similar little things.

Note N8000. Although this model has been on the market for more than 2 years, it continues to sell successfully. It is its parameters and characteristics that will be discussed in this review.

CPU

The heart of this tablet PC is the Exynos CPU model 4412. This is Samsung's own design. It includes four revision A9 cores operating at a frequency of 1.3 GHz. It is the combination of these characteristics that allows the Note N8000 to cope with any task without any problems. Again, all the features implemented in the AWS architecture function successfully in this silicon crystal. This includes disabling unused cores and lowering clock frequency unused module. All this allows you to significantly save battery life. Overall, an excellent combination of performance and energy efficiency, which is the hallmark of all devices built on this architecture.

Graphics subsystem

To perform graphic functions, the Mali-400 MP4 adapter is integrated into this device. Of course, at the time the tablet was released, it made it possible to solve all tasks without exception. But now its computing power is no longer enough for demanding applications. The screen resolution is 1280 pixels by 800 pixels. Moreover, its diagonal is 10.1 inches. This is enough for normal and comfortable work, but a certain graininess of the picture will be present. Another disadvantage is the glossy finish of the screen. All finger touches will be imprinted on it.

A definite plus is the presence of a capacitive sensor, which is highly sensitive. Another advantage is support for up to five touches simultaneously. But now cheaper devices can boast of this feature. Despite the presence of certain comments, the graphics system of the Samsung Galaxy Note N8000 is well balanced, and its capabilities will be sufficient for the needs of most users.

Memory

The memory subsystem of the Samsung Galaxy Note N8000 is simply excellent. Reviews from satisfied owners of this gadget are further confirmation of this. Random access memory it has 2 GB installed. Now, 2 years later, not every tablet or smartphone is equipped with that much RAM. The built-in memory is 16 GB - this volume is enough to store several films or a library of books. In addition, there is a slot for installing a MicroSD card up to 32 GB in size. You can also use an OTJ cable to connect an external regular flash drive with a capacity of up to 16 GB. In general, the memory system subsystem in this case scores five points out of five possible. It can also be quickly increased without problems by connecting an additional memory card or flash drive.

Frame

TO strengths The case cannot be attributed to the Samsung Galaxy Note N8000. Reviews only confirm this. There are two options for its design - white (for a female audience) and black (more official). Case material - plastic. It scratches easily, and it is not resistant to impacts. Therefore, it is better to immediately buy a cover that will protect against damage. this tablet. The situation is similar with the screen. It is made of ordinary plastic and is also not resistant to cracks. So you need to stick it right away protective film so as not to scratch or damage it. These measures will significantly extend the operating time of this device.

Battery

The Samsung Galaxy Note N8000 has a mediocre battery. The Chinese version in this case is even worse. The proprietary device uses a 7000 milliampere/hour lithium-ion battery. This capacity is enough for one day of comfortable work. Although, with a not very intense load, its charge can last for two days. But still not enough today. Now there are already batteries with a capacity of 10,000 milliampere/hour, and this is enough for 3 days of active use. But the Chinese copy has even less - 3000 milliamps/hour, which is enough for half a day of work. So before purchasing, you must definitely check the modification of the device. In addition, the rest of the technical specifications in the Chinese version are significantly worse than those of the original.

Software

Samsung Galaxy Note N8000 operates under control operating system Android with outdated version 4.0.4. This is quite enough to run most offers. But still, some programs (for example, the An-Tu-Tu tester) require version 4.1. Most likely, the system software of this Tablet PC will no longer be updated. Therefore, owners will have to work with what is available. This nuance must be taken into account before purchasing.

Communications

The Note N8000 tablet is equipped with a rich set of communications. First of all, this is Bluetooth (great for connecting other mobile devices), Wi-Fi (provides maximum speed data exchange when connected to the Internet) and a 4G modem. The last option allows this device function in any mobile networks that exist today. At the same time, the owner of the tablet is not tied to anything, but can exchange data with the global web in any corner of the globe where there is mobile connection. Also, do not forget that it is possible to make calls. True, it’s better to talk with headphones. The tablet has a large diagonal, so it is not entirely convenient to use it for these purposes. Among wired communications, there is the ability to connect via a universal serial interface USB. For navigation, transmitters for working with GPS and GLONASS systems are integrated into the gadget. This will allow you to easily determine your location. All this is enough to comfortably fill this device with all the necessary information and navigate around the area.

Results

From the perspective of technical specifications and software The Samsung Galaxy Note N8000 looks flawless. The price is very high. Similar tablets personal computers other manufacturers are much cheaper. For example, Lenovo Yoga can be purchased much cheaper. The device from Samsung costs $450, and Chinese manufacturer a similar device is valued at 375. On this side, buying a device Korean manufacturer not entirely justified.

When you turn on the tablet, after the Samsung splash screen, the Android sign appears on a green background and nothing else happens, or vice versa - first the Android icon, and behind it the “eternal” Samsung.
