How to update the software?
We provide you different ways software updates, namely: updating using a memory card or updating over the air.
To update over the air, you need to connect to a Wi-Fi wireless network or GSM Internet connection and check for updates in the settings.

The cause of rebooting or freezing in most cases is third-party software or programs.
1. Initially, we recommend that you restore the default factory settings (after saving the information you need). If the phone turns on, select the "factory reset" option from the device menu. If the device does not turn on, turn on the device in " Recovery mode" and select "wipe data/factory reset". How to backup data, notebook or "Back up"?
There are 3 ways to do a “Back Up”:
1. In the phone settings, in the "Backup and reset" submenu, check the box for recovery.
2. You can transfer the necessary information to your computer using USB cable.
3. You can make a “Back Up” using a third-party program.
What should I do if I don’t remember the password or pattern to unlock the screen?
If you have forgotten the pattern or digital password to unlock the screen, you need to perform a reset to factory settings: 1. Turn on the device in “Recovery mode” and select “wipe data/factory reset”. 2. If the procedure is not completed, you must contact the ZTE Authorized Service Center.
How to use wireless networks (Wi-Fi, BT)?
1. In the device settings, turn on Wi-Fi. Click on the Wi-Fi icon and you will be taken to the Wi-Fi network management screen.
2. The device will automatically start searching for active Wi-Fi networks in the access zone from 5 to 50 meters to the access point (depending on the power of the access point).
3. Select the network you need and click on it. If wireless network is protected by a password, please enter it.
4. Once connected to the desired network, the Wi-Fi icon will appear on the main screen of the device.
How to enable Internet distribution on your phone (USB modem or WiFi router)?
There are two ways to enable Internet sharing on your phone. The first way is to enable distribution as a USB modem, the other is to enable distribution as a WiFi router. Make sure that your device has access to the Internet in order to distribute it:

Why is the amount of free memory on the device less than stated by the manufacturer?

What does ROOT mean?

Light sensor- a sensor that sets the optimal brightness and contrast values for this level illumination The presence of a sensor allows you to increase the battery life of the device.
Proximity sensor- a sensor that detects when the device is close to your face during a call, turns off the backlight and locks the screen, preventing accidental clicks. The presence of a sensor allows you to increase the battery life of the device.
Geomagnetic sensor- a sensor for determining the direction of the world in which the device is directed. Tracks the orientation of the device in space relative to the magnetic poles of the Earth. The information received from the sensor is used in mapping programs for terrain orientation.
Atmospheric pressure sensor- sensor for precise measurement of atmospheric pressure. It is part of the GPS system, allows you to determine altitude above sea level and speed up location determination.
Touch ID- fingerprint identification sensor.
Accelerometer / Geomagnetic / Light / Proximity
Satellite navigation:
GPS(Global Positioning System - global positioning system) - satellite system navigation, providing measurement of distance, time, speed and determining the location of objects anywhere on Earth. The system is developed, implemented and operated by the US Department of Defense. The basic principle of using the system is to determine location by measuring distances to an object from points with known coordinates - satellites. The distance is calculated by the delay time of signal propagation from sending it by the satellite to receiving it by the antenna of the GPS receiver.
GLONASS(Global Navigation Satellite System) - Soviet and Russian satellite navigation system, developed by order of the USSR Ministry of Defense. The measurement principle is similar to the American GPS navigation system. GLONASS is designed for operational navigation and timing support for land, sea, air and space-based users. The main difference from the GPS system is that GLONASS satellites in their orbital motion do not have resonance (synchrony) with the rotation of the Earth, which provides them with greater stability.
ZTE Blade L4 - comparatively inexpensive smartphone, which is interesting with 4G support. It was released in 2015, sold at prices ranging from 93 to 112 USD (current at the time of writing the review).
There is often confusion with the labeling of this smartphone due to the lack of reliable information on the manufacturer’s official website. To be clear, this review will focus on the ZTE Blade L4 model labeled A460. The L4 Pro model labeled T610 is practically the same in appearance, but has slightly improved characteristics.
The smartphone looks simple, the body is made of plastic (not glossy, but fingerprints remain easily). The case width is 72.8 mm, height is 145.5 mm, and thickness is 9.4 mm. The weight of the device is 165 g.
Characteristics of ZTE Blade L4 A460
The technical stuff is very budget-friendly, but support for 2 SIM, 4G and Android 5.1 can attract the attention of a potential buyer, thanks to the price of the smartphone.
CPU
The processor is Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 MSM8909-4 (4 cores, 1.1 GHz). The Adreno 304 video chip is responsible for the graphics. The performance of the device is at the level of “normal operation in the interface and applications, but games can also be run.” That is, you can shoot in “Tanks” and drive in Asphalt 8 without problems, but not on maximum settings graphics.
However, one must not miss the point that some instances often freeze; rebooting or resetting the settings helps, but, as a rule, not for long. The problem is not noticed by all users, but it occurs quite often. It is still unclear whether this is due to software or hardware.
Memory
There is only 8 GB of built-in memory, of which even less is available for use. This volume is enough for applications, but for heavy games it’s a stretch. Moreover, if the game can be transferred to a flash drive, then the cache cannot; the ZTE Blade L4 does not provide such an option. There is a slot for microSD (up to 32 GB).
Volume random access memory- 1 GB. In most cases, this is enough to run several applications simultaneously, and normal operation interface. As mentioned earlier, this model has performance problems, so when purchasing, you need to carefully test it, preferably for a long time, loading the device with various tasks.
Autonomous operation
You shouldn't expect good battery life from this smartphone. A 2200 mAh battery allows the device to operate without recharging for a maximum of 1 daylight hours under normal load (half an hour of calls, some Internet surfing using WiFi, a couple of dozen photos, synchronization with various services and instant messengers enabled). In a more gentle mode, the phone will last a day and a half.
Camera
The smartphone has 2 cameras: the main one is 8 megapixels, and the front one is 5 megapixels. Perhaps the resolution has been increased by software (interpolation), and the main camera has a real 5 MP. In the camera interface you can find various modes and a variety of settings. The shooting quality is mediocre, consistent budget smartphone. The main module copes poorly with macro photography; there is a lot of noise in the photographs. This problem disappears when shooting using flash.
In the daytime, the video camera copes well with shooting; at night, you should not expect good results.
Display
5-inch screen received TFT matrix with a resolution of 480x854. Viewing angles are far from the best; even with slight turns and tilts, the contrast of the picture is lost and the colors are inverted. The brightness changes unevenly; when you move the brightness adjustment slider within a certain range, the backlight level remains unchanged, and the maximum brightness margin is weak. Since the screen module is very budget-friendly, an oleophobic coating or protective glass not provided.
Networking capabilities
The radio module can work with two SIM cards, one of them can access 4G networks. 2G/3G standards are also supported. Everything is in order with the operation of the navigation module, the satellite detection time is at an acceptable level, and the location determination is quite accurate. However, GLONASS is not supported.
Sound
The main and conversational speakers can be given an average score in terms of volume and sound quality. There is no particular volume or quality here, but nothing bad can be said about this.
Software part
L4 A460 runs under Android control 5.1. The firmware contains various applications and services from the Beeline operator, which in a standard way You can't remove it, you can only freeze it. Updating the software version is possible through a special utility, but relying on Android 6 is a naive exercise.
Pros and cons of ZTE Blade L4
Pros:
- more or less affordable price;
- 4G support (for a device with such a price tag this is not bad).
Minuses:
- low quality screen;
- many copies have problems with freezing;
- it is not possible to install games and applications on external card(transfer only, no cache);
- official firmware with a lot of pre-installed software, lack of alternative firmware.
Our review of the ZTE Blade L4 smartphone
The ZTE Blade L4 smartphone can be considered as a budget option for 2 SIM cards with 4G support. But nothing more: not enough for games free space(applications are not installed on the card), and viewing angles are poor for comfortable video viewing. It is not recommended to buy in a hurry without testing. Otherwise, there is a high probability that you will soon need to return or exchange due to constant slowdowns and freezes. Although it is possible that everything will be fine.
