* Pupils of the Prince of Oldenburg Orphanage and nurses at the monument to P. G. Oldenburgsky in front of the Mariinsky Hospital on the day

100th anniversary of his birth. St. Petersburg, 1912

(Monuments of St. Petersburg and Moscow with a historical review. St. Petersburg. 1894. P. 9, Mary)

A monument to Prince Peter Georgievich of Oldenburg was erected in front of the Mariinsky Hospital building. He is depicted in his usual pose, as if listening to a request. He rests his left hand lightly on the pedestal, and puts his right hand over the side of his coat. On the pedestal, on three sides, there are bas-reliefs: on the first the Prince is depicted asking questions of jurists, and on the second - schoolgirls. In the third bas-relief, the Prince is in a children's hospital: he looks with sympathy at a sick child, who is being lifted by two nurses. On the fourth side of the pedestal there is an inscription: “To the enlightened benefactor Prince Peter Georgievich of Oldenburg 1812-1881.”

B. N. Lossky, the son of a philosopher and grandson of N. Ya. and M. N. Stoyunin, attributed the disappearance of the monument to the Prince of Oldenburg to the autumn of 1918 - early 1919. He began with the monument to the Tsar Carpenter and further: “The same fate befell, it’s unlikely or, to my grandmother’s great regret, standing in front of the Mariinsky Hospital (now “named after Kuibyshev”) the figure of the persecutor of Stoyunin’s grandfather, Prince P. G. Oldenburg, in an energetic pose, probably in the same way he minted to his grandfather: “People like you should be hanged upside down "On his pedestal, Volodarsky, painted bronze, found himself, but very soon one of his legs crumbled into dust, revealing one of the pieces of wood holding the statue, which gave the recently killed leader the appearance of a cripple begging for alms."

The composition symbolizing medicine has stood at 56 Liteiny Prospekt since 1935.
“The bowl with the snake was removed from the avenue on the eve of the celebration of the 300th anniversary of St. Petersburg - it did not correspond to the appearance of this highway, and did not represent any historical value,” Maria Khitarishvili, press secretary of the Mariinsky Hospital, answered the editors. Today this bowl is located unknown where and may have been lost.

In 2007, the Government of St. Petersburg adopted Resolution No. 203 of February 26, 2007 “On the installation of a monument to Prince P. G. Oldenburg” at the expense of extra-budgetary funds. Board of Trustees of the Mariinsky Hospital and the Charitable Foundation named after. D.S. Likhachev began collecting funds for the restoration of the monument. But there are still not enough funds to complete the project.

According to the deputy director of the foundation, Oleg Leykind, the authors restored the monument using two or three low-quality photographs. The sculptors made the plaster model four years ago. (post 05/19/2017), since then he has been waiting in the wings in the warehouse.

A terrible hospital, and a terrible attitude, although at first glance there are very smiling staff in gynecology, who in fact don’t care what your problem is! I’ll tell you in order: I finally got pregnant, after a year and a half of trying, at first I was observed in a private clinic , there they prescribed me medications, because problems arose at week 4, which I should have taken, but circumstances turned out that I ended up in this hospital, and they took me straight from the residential complex, i.e. I was not prepared (in terms of clothes and medications that my doctor prescribed for me), I ended up in the emergency department, people were lying everywhere, almost sitting on each other’s laps, I waited until they brought me about 40 minutes, they asked me to sign , and wait again, in the end I got to the department only after more than an hour! By that time pain had already appeared, although initially there was none, there were other reasons! I got there in the evening, but some doctors examined me anyway, but they didn’t I know who they are, because I never saw them again, two young girls, they established a frozen pregnancy, so in 3 days the fetus did not change in size, from the last moment of visiting another doctor, I explained everything about pills and suppositories (Utrozhestan), that I started taking it, but at the moment I found myself without medication, so they took me away spontaneously, not from home, I was told “don’t worry, you’ll be given injections.” Okay, I thought. Later I decided to ask the nurse for water and toilet paper (with payment, of course), there is nothing, she said .. in general, with a stomach ache and thirst, I tried to sleep, it was a bad success, as the nurses were talking in a loud voice, running back and forth all night, at night with the doctors guests, in the form of women with abortions, some of them were screaming, the CARGO elevator was rolling all the time, and there was a metallic ringing all night. At six in the morning they woke me up with an injection in the butt; I didn’t ask what it was when I woke up. In the morning I donated blood for hCG (by the way, for free!!!) when I returned I found the doctor Farizat Shakhimovna, who didn’t even listen to me! First of all, she scolded me, saying, why am I wearing jeans, my arguments were responded to with lightning speed, “don’t argue” !The fact that you are at such an early stage and preserved is your fault!” Can you imagine? Then she didn’t listen anymore, she conducted a monologue, trying to tell her something, she ran into a bunch of reprimands that she was a doctor, and she knows better than me what to do, she didn’t look at the other doctor’s instructions, didn’t look at the chart, didn’t ask me anything, she just said something general and left! They put the same IVs on everyone, it will be cysts, Or preservation: sodium and glucose. Literally in the afternoon the doctor appeared and said that hCG had not increased much, the difference was two days, the first was 151. 59, for some reason she rounded the second to 200 (although it later turned out that 264 is still small, but still), and said the next day to do hCG again, for the last time, and if the difference is not noticeable again , then cleansing is a terrible word... cleansing (In the morning, after the same sleepless night, they didn’t give me an injection in the butt, not from a vein, I turned to my sister, why didn’t they give me an injection, to which she replied at 10 o’clock in the evening they will , that is, how?! Once at six in the morning, another day at 10 in the evening, that is, whenever you want? And do you know what they injected me with instead of antibiotics, suppositories, which might have saved my pregnancy?! But-shpu! These two days I was counting on no-shpu, I realized it too late... I was never called for hCG, and I went up again myself, but they told me there was no appointment (there was no referral, although the doctor said that it was necessary, but she calmly left for the weekend, I just apparently forgot about it) I was already hoping for the doctor on duty, she really listened and scheduled an ultrasound for 2 o’clock in the afternoon! By two o’clock, I was sitting in the corridor, with my support group, in the person of my parents, I was afraid of a bad result, besides, the pain was already like during menstruation, and the doctor on duty still wasn’t coming... I already looked into the staff room, to which, of course, they barked at me, like, can I eat?! She ate for about 40 minutes, and finally, at 14:40 I went out and took another girl for examination, at that moment the pain intensified, as did the discharge, I realized that everything was very bad. Another 10-15 minutes passed, and my mother had a chance to talk with this “doctor”, with whom they, of course, got into an argument, to which the doctor said that we should thank her for deciding to look at me! She conducted an ultrasound, starting a conversation from the fact that I somehow persuaded my relatives and set the poor thing on her, moreover, the fact that she doesn’t owe me anything, and she shouldn’t do this ultrasound either, and in general she has nothing to do with it, and that she needs thank you to say (again), on the ultrasound there was no longer a fetus, an independent abortion happened.... Then, through tears, I decided to discharge myself from this snake’s den, on my own responsibility, upon receiving the discharge they again shouted at me that it was not so fast, and let me to rest, when I already looked into the resident’s room (for a discharge), about an hour had passed since they ate, now they needed to rest, having finally received a discharge, I ran from there. Result: I arrived at the hospital for preservation pregnant with a fetus at 4 mm, I left there nervous and not pregnant... So, doctors, thank you, although you’re welcome, this is your job, for which you are also paid money, and ultrasound, and examination are your job!!! And it’s like you’re doing a favor, that while you don’t eat and don’t rest, we sick people also need to be treated! The doctor on duty, to whom we owe a special “thank you,” is Dmitrieva E.N. And by the way, now you won’t know that he was ruined by sleepless nights with screams (while he was in conservation), or the withdrawal of medications that threatened miscarriage, and the doctors didn’t say anything. So, beautiful future mothers, everything will be fine with your fetus , but within their own walls, or maybe in another hospital, but not here, they won’t save the pregnancy here! And no one can take care of us as much as we do ourselves. Health to everyone
