According to the owners of the device, the phone body is ergonomic, easy to use, and the controls on it are conveniently located. The build quality of the phone is also rated positively by gadget lovers.

Display

The next aspect in which we can examine the Lumiya 925 phone is the display characteristics. The device is equipped with a 4.5-inch screen with a resolution of 1280 by 768 pixels. The display operates based on AMOLED technology. Density indicator - 331 dpi. The display is protected by durable glass 2, there is

Display: reviews

What are users' opinions on the Lumia 925 display? The characteristics of this component of the device are assessed by the owners of the device as being quite consistent with modern technological trends, especially in terms of the use of an AMOLED matrix. Users note the high brightness and contrast of the screen. Many people like the fact that, if necessary, they can adjust the display color settings to suit individual preferences. Users praise the display for its viewing comfort at all viewing angles.

Software

The next significant aspect of the Lumiya 925 is the software characteristics. The phone is controlled by the Windows Phone operating system in version 8. Of course, in terms of the number of applications and games, this OS is still inferior to iOS and Android. But those that are available in the Microsoft store work on the phone without problems. Downloading applications and games, as well as their installation, is carried out quickly (if there is an appropriate Internet channel). The phone has a number of notable applications that are installed by default. Among these is a program for working with a camera, Nokia Smart Cam. With it you can take pictures and then process them.

There is a convenient set of navigation programs known under the HERE brand - Maps, Drive and Transit. These three applications can work with the same set of cards, and they can also function offline - if the necessary data is already downloaded to the phone. Using these programs, you can view information on traffic jams, bus movements, search for the desired addresses, or, for example, plot routes.

Many users note the usefulness of the built-in application for purchasing and playing music tracks. You can also download the corresponding songs to your phone. The program has the function of selecting music files for specific styles or years that are defined by the user.

Software: reviews

How do fans of mobile electronics evaluate the software installed on the Nokia Lumia 925? The characteristics of the phone in this aspect are assessed positively in terms of the quality of the software. Of course, many users miss the variety of games and applications that is found when working with Android and iOS devices. There are, however, lovers of mobile electronics who value, above all, the speed of the phone under Windows control Phone. Even with modest technical characteristics of the device, this OS usually uses less hardware resources than the Android or iOS platforms. As a result, the device runs faster, making it possible to easily run games and applications that phones with similar resources running competing platforms might not be able to handle. However, we can talk about the specifics of the hardware separately. What resources does the phone have in this regard?

Iron

Having examined the specifics of the software, we will thus study another important aspect of the Nokia Lumia 925 - specifications in terms of hardware. The phone is equipped with a Snapdragon S4 processor operating at a frequency of 1.5 GHz. There is an Adreno 225 video processing module. The amount of RAM installed in the device is 1 GB. Resource internal memory- 16 GB. However, it is not possible to install additional modules. But the marked 16 GB should be enough for a user who is not too keen on installing “heavy” applications and games, as well as shooting long videos.

Iron: reviews

We noted above that for many Nokia Lumia 925 users, technical characteristics are secondary - due to the fact that the overall performance of a phone running Windows Phone will be quite high one way or another. Indeed, the practice of using the device, as noted by many users and specialists in the field of mobile electronics, shows that even fairly “heavy” 3D games and functional applications work very well on the phone.

True, the total number of relevant products adapted for Windows Phone is still inferior to that for Android and iOS platforms.

Sound

The audio components in the phone are of high quality. This results in excellent speaker volume. Users and experts positively evaluate the quality of music playback, both using headphones and when listening to melodies through a speaker. It can be noted that the phone is equipped with a built-in equalizer. It also supports Dolby Mobile technology, which significantly improves sound quality. Users note that the headphones included with the device are quite suitable for comfortable listening to music.

Camera

Next up is now another important aspect of the Nokia Lumia 925 phone - the camera characteristics. What noteworthy facts can be noted regarding this hardware component of the device? First of all, it's enough high resolution main camera - 8.7 megapixels. The front one has a more modest figure - 1.7 megapixels, but compared to the corresponding components of competing devices it is impressive. The additional camera can take photos with a resolution of 1280 by 720 or 1280 by 960 pixels, and also shoot videos with a resolution of 720 pixels. The main camera is equipped with an image stabilization system. This determines very high clarity of photographs. Using the main camera you can also shoot video, and with a fairly high resolution - 1080 pixels.

Using the button located on the right side of the device, you can launch the built-in application that controls the camera. It is noteworthy that the corresponding control works even if the screen is locked. In shooting mode, this same button can also be used to release the shutter. Thus, the characteristics of the Nokia Lumia 925 camera look quite competitive. Photos from the device should be of quite high quality. Video is the same.

Camera: reviews

But how do users comment on the quality of the camera, how do they compare it with other characteristics inherent in the components of the Lumiya 925? Reviews from fans of mobile electronics regarding the functioning of the device element in question are enthusiastic. The high resolution of the main camera and the not at all modest one of the additional one, the presence of an optical stabilizer and a good program for working with photos and videos - all this determines extremely positive ratings from users. They celebrate a large number of useful functions with the built-in application - such as, for example, selecting the optimal shooting mode. Users rate the quality of photographs as high when shooting at any time of the day.

Communications

Let us now consider the technical characteristics of Lumiya 925 in terms of communication resources. The phone supports the main modern communication standards, including 4G, GPS, Glonass, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth in version 3. There is support for contactless payment technology - NFC. All relevant modules, as noted by users and experts in reviews, work perfectly. Navigation is carried out without any particular difficulties. As some experts in the field of mobile electronics note, the model in question is positioned by the brand as adapted specifically for those people who often need to use satellite navigation resources.

Battery

Another important aspect of the Nokia Lumiya 925 is the battery characteristics. What notable features of the corresponding hardware component of the device can be noted? The phone's capacity is 2 thousand mAh. This figure may seem quite modest. But this is quite acceptable, in particular due to the fact that the phone has a fairly low level of power consumption.

How long can a Nokia Lumia 925 phone work without recharging? The characteristics of its battery are quite modest, many users are sure, but in practice it turns out that the device shows quite decent results in terms of battery life. Thus, mobile electronics enthusiasts who tested the device found that it lasts for about a day and a half with fairly intensive use (talking, playing games, communicating on social networks, listening to music). With continuous viewing of video resources, the battery lasts approximately 6.5 hours. However, we can note that it charges quite quickly - within 1.5 hours to full level.

Summary

So, we have studied the main technological features of the Nokia Lumia 925 phone (characteristics), reviews about it. What conclusions can we draw based on the information available? It should be noted that the quality of manufacturing materials, as well as the elegance of the device’s design, are characteristic of any device in the Lumia series. For many users, this is more important than the technical parameters of the device. As for the latter, the phone is equipped with hardware that is completely in line with modern trends. Which, considering that the device is controlled by Windows Phone, provides quite decent performance. Thus, the Lumiya 925 phone is a completely modern, competitive, stylish and functional device that can become popular and in demand on the Russian market.

Nokia Lumia 925:: Review:: Design and Features

The device turned out to be very recognizable in appearance - as far as this is in principle possible today, in an era of very similar-looking gadgets that are barely distinguishable from each other. Aluminum frame frame, display with smoothed glass edges, “erotically” protruding camera module :) A thin and light smartphone fits comfortably in any hand despite its considerable dimensions.

Metal is partially used in the decoration of the device - the perimeter frame is made from it. The back cover remains plastic and is not removable.

The front panel, completely covered with glass with beautifully and conveniently “filled” edges, hides the front camera and sensors (on top), as well as three control buttons (on the bottom). The control buttons are illuminated in white, but are clearly visible even when the backlight is turned off due to reflection of external light.

The back cover contains a slightly protruding (by a millimeter) camera module and an LED flash, as well as a speaker perforation and three contacts intended for a protective case with a built-in receiving antenna of the proprietary system wireless charging.

The right side is full of buttons - the volume rocker is on top, the unlock button is in the middle (it fits comfortably under the thumb), and the camera button is at the bottom. The left side is completely empty.

The top edge contains a slot for a micro-SIM card that can be opened with a paperclip (which, pleasantly, extends but does not fall out completely!), a USB connector, and a headphone jack. The bottom edge is empty.

Nokia Lumia 925:: Review:: System/User Interface

Moving from bottom to top unlocks the screen.

The desktop consists of “live” tiles with updated information.

The size of the tiles, their color, as well as the background color change - this limits the personalization of the interface:

There are two “desktops” - “main” and “secondary”. They change with a horizontal slide across the screen. The “main” one contains large tiles of frequently used applications, while the “secondary” one contains small “non-living” shortcuts for all programs installed on the smartphone.

Nokia Lumia 925:: Review:: Main functions

Mail. The mail application allows you to attach only a photo to a letter - all other files can be sent via email only from the appropriate programs. Office document- from an office application, an MP3 file from an audio player, etc.

Calendar/Planner

Alarm

Calculator

Gallery. The possibilities for photo editing are very limited, but in fact there is exactly what you need without unnecessary functions, which are rarely used. For example, the “Fix” button with one touch evens out the brightness, turning the photo into an almost HDR photo!

Audio player. The player is like a player. There are no proprietary features, such as a built-in music recognizer, but the sound is not bad and you can use it. Although, if you're not used to it, it's annoying that the equalizer adjustments can only be accessed from the settings menu, but not from the menu of the player itself... There's also a lack of album cover swapping, which is why the music library interface looks dull.

Radio

Video player. Traditionally simple, but this is the kind of simplicity that is “worse than theft” :) If the lack of settings is easy to come to terms with, then the lack of codecs to support formats other than MP4 is bad! Movies will have to be converted before downloading (if you have them in AVI or MKV), and there is no sensible alternative player in the “market” yet...

Children's room. Branded "Windows" built-in service for restricting access to applications and content - by turning it on, you can safely give the phone to a child without fear that he will open adult applications, access the Internet or delete some data. “Children’s” changes the phone interface to a simplified one, with icons of pre-marked allowed programs, without settings, etc.

Nokia Lumia 925:: Review:: Display

The display in the Lumia 925 is 4.5-inch, made using AMOLED technology, with a resolution of 768x1280 pixels. The top of the screen is covered with tempered Gorilla Glass with rounded edges recognizable from other flagship Nokia models. The display matrix is very juicy (I would like to say - “juicy in a Samsung way”!), with impeccable viewing angles, and high brightness. The display demonstrates excellent behavior in the sun thanks to the proprietary ClearBlack polarizing layer and electronic system image correction, which works when the brightness level is set to automatic adjustment. In this case, the system itself changes the color scheme and other parameters, achieving the best display.

The image on the screen can be adjusted to your own preferences manually by changing the gamma:

The most interesting features of the screen are the ability to operate with gloves (activated by selecting high sensitivity in the settings of the “Display + Sensor” section), as well as the constant backlight of the clock and notifications in standby mode, used for the first time on Windows Phone devices, plus the ability to “wake up” the device double tap screen. This extremely convenient (allowing you to easily find your phone in a dark room!) function was previously implemented on smartphones such as N8, N9, E7, and 808, but it has not been seen on Windows phones before, just as it has not been seen, by the way, anywhere else , except for devices of the Finnish manufacturer. The key to its operation is the AMOLED screen, in which you can highlight several tens of pixels without wasting energy, without activating the rest and without turning on the battery-consuming backlight, as you would have to do when implementing this in a TFT screen.

Nokia Lumia 925:: Review:: Memory

The phone's memory is its weakest point, for which the 925 has already been given a lot of "presentation". The device has 16 built-in gigabytes (actually 15) and does not have an extension for the card... And it does not even support connecting USB drives via OTG! By today's standards, this is very strange, and will oblige the owner to seriously think about downloading various types of content, promptly change watched movies and boring music with new ones, and also often upload photos to a home computer or at least to the Microsoft SkyDrive service... I do not deny the prospects and amenities cloud storage, but in many cases their use seems unnecessary and a multi-step “workaround”, while uploading files to the internal memory array is straightforward, simple and one-step.

Nokia Lumia 925:: Review:: Camera

The Lumia 925 has an 8.7-megapixel matrix with an optical stabilization system, which showed itself superbly in the Lumia 925. The number of lenses in the 925’s lens has been increased to six, but in general the camera is not a fundamental departure from its predecessor. It is also good - well, maybe “a little better” :) I think there is no point in changing the 920 to 925 for those who have their first smartphone.

Lumia 925 camera specs:

Matrix – 8.7 megapixels
Matrix size: 1/3 inch
Lens - Carl Zeiss Tessar
Number of lenses – 6
Focal length - 26 mm (35 mm equivalent)
Aperture - f/2.0
Shutter – electronic
Focus point – any

For comparison, the Nokia N8 is a well-deserved oldie with excellent photography quality to this day:

Nokia N8 Camera Specifications:

Matrix – 12 megapixels
Matrix size - 1/1.8 inches
Lens - Carl Zeiss Tessar
Number of lenses – 5
Focal length - 28 mm (35 mm equivalent)
Aperture – f/2.8
Shutter - mechanical
Focus point - center only

What can we say from these numbers and characteristics? Clear dynamics of simultaneous growth of all characteristics in the style of Soviet aviators “higher, and higher, and higher!” (c) - no. Compared to the 920, even the favorite tool of marketers - the number of megapixels - has not increased... There are still 8.7 of them.

At the same time, as is known, the quality of shooting is simultaneously influenced by several parameters. One of them is the physical size of the pixel, which depends on the number of megapixels that make up the matrix and its dimensions. The larger the pixel, the larger its area and the amount of light it receives, which means the higher its light sensitivity and the less noise it generates. Lumia 925 and N8 have different sensor sizes and number of pixels (not in favor of 925 - and quite significantly!), and the size of a single pixel in N8 is also larger - about 1.2 times. At the same time, such a lens parameter as the aperture number is better on the Lumia 925 - 1.4 times larger - and it, like the pixel size, determines the amount of light falling on the matrix. Some parameters are partially compensated by others. But optical stabilization in the 925 is a truly real and impressive achievement of recent times, in which Nokia is certainly a leader in relation to both competitors and its own very successful camera phones of past years. Optical stabilization significantly improves the quality of shooting at twilight without a flash, when the latter illuminates the foreground, leaving the background in the dark.

Continuing to quickly compare the specifications, let’s mention the mechanical shutter of the N8 versus the electronic shutter of the 925. This, it must be said, is not a very critical rivalry, since the advantages of “mechanics” are more relevant in the presence of a fast xenon flash, which is not present in the 925. And in general, the confrontation between xenon and LED today does not look so acute in principle, since the power of LED flashes has increased, but xenon flashes have not increased, being limited by the acceptable thickness of phones. The minimum macro shooting distance of the 925 is better - but two centimeters of difference (8 and 10) hardly changes anything. In terms of shooting speed, the N8 lags far behind the 925 (the interval between shots is about 2 seconds and there is no burst mode at all), but now we are moving from the properties of the camera, as such, to the processor platform, which in the N8 is very outdated in modern times...

How can we summarize the conversation about the Lumia 925 camera?

If you look at the shooting quality of such modern leading camera phones as HTC One X, Samsung Galaxy S4 or Sony Xperia Z, then, in my opinion, they are all comparable to the Lumia 925, showing slightly better or slightly worse results in certain conditions, but at the same time confidently standing in the same ranks. Sony Xperia Z has better reaction to backlight, Samsung Galaxy S4 has better focusing and shooting speed, Lumia 925 behaves better in low light conditions. At the same time, a number of shooting factors, such as a slight change in the camera angle, all other things being equal, can turn the leadership of one device in favor of another, therefore, as usual, there is no unconditional flagship.

Nokia Lumia 925:: Review:: Performance and Power

The power and performance of the device are similar to the Lumia 920 - it has the same processor (1.5 GHz Qualcomm MSM8960), the same video accelerator (Adreno 225), the same gigabyte random access memory. This is not a record-breaking platform by Android standards, but for the highly optimized and undemanding hardware operating system, WP8 really doesn’t need anything else yet - on this hardware, the smartphone copes with any tasks, while remaining quite economical.

To assess energy efficiency, I conduct a test traditional for my reviews: I charge the battery to 100%, reboot the device to clear the memory of clogging programs, turn off everything wireless interfaces, except cellular communications, I set the screen brightness and volume to maximum. I launch a regular movie in AVI format, lasting 1 hour 23 minutes and weighing 1.45 GB. After finishing the movie, look at the remaining battery charge:

90% is an excellent result. It’s a rare “android phone” that manages to do this – and even then, only if it has a special powerful battery. For comparison, the results of other WP smartphones with similar characteristics on the same test:

Nokia Lumia 920 – 80%
Samsung Ativ S – 85%

Nokia Lumia 925:: Review:: Windows Phone 8

operating room Windows system Phone 8 still raises questions and complaints among many, despite the fact that the range of smartphones on it is significantly inferior to Android, and not everyone who is “angry” has dealt with it. Therefore, a review of each new gadget can be safely provided with a mini educational program for those who are not in the know, as well as an “injection of logic” for those who like to “throw it at the fan” or start an “OS squabble”. Honestly, doing this all the time is extremely tedious, but occasionally it’s probably worth it :) Let’s go over the main strategic differences between the two systems (Android vs WP8), which are often opposed to each other, and not in favor of the latter.

The WP8 interface in the form of two screens with columns of icons, and Android with its 5-7 interchangeable desktops, do not have any advantages over each other - they are simply implemented differently and getting used to one or the other is a matter of a couple of days. The only caveat is that on Android the appearance of the interface can be changed quite flexibly, but on WP8 the personalization options are limited. This is the case, but the severity of the “problem” is usually exaggerated - sometimes even seasoned geeks, in the excitement of “system-fucking,” pretend to be schoolgirls suffering from the inability to stick a bow or other trinket in the desired place….

- "Absence" file system in WP8 - a somewhat unusual moment for many. In Android you can look at the list of files on your phone, create new folders and organize content, but here this will not work - the content does not lie in memory “as is”, but is tied to the corresponding programs. Video and audio “live” in the player, texts in the reader or Office, pictures in the viewer, etc. And even by mail, files of various types can be sent not from the mail application, but from the corresponding applications: MP3 - from the player, DOC or EXCEL - from Office, etc. From a “traditional” point of view, this can be considered as a disadvantage, but in reality it’s just a feature and doesn’t cause any problems.

CPU race. In this, as many mistakenly think, WP8 loses, because not a single brand has yet presented a quad-core smartphone on the Microsoft operating system. However, the performance of the systems is not comparable - WP8 is significantly better optimized and at this stage does not need 4 or more core “stones” at all.

App store. So far the real weak point of WP8. Take, for example, video playback - the native player “eats” only MPEG-4 and requires preliminary conversion of “avishek” and “emkavashek”, and there is only one alternative - YXplayer, which is not free and, what is worse, is crude... Another one a real example is video recording programs. There are 5-6 of them in the Marketplace, both paid and commercial (Road Vision, Road Tracks, MyDVR, CVR, etc.), but none of them work in the background - that is, use video recording and navigation at the same time ( which, you see, is completely natural for a driver!), is impossible... The absence of many popular games on Android and iOS is also worth noting - for example, one of my friends did not buy a WP-phone only because it was impossible to play his favorite Metro Surfer on it... Well etc. and so on…. The somewhat slow development of the application store cannot be blamed on Nokia, of course. But if at the early stage of development of the Windows Phone ecosystem it was customary to pay more attention to hardware, now, when in WP-lines from different manufacturers powerful flagships with excellent displays, processors and cameras began to appear, the lag of the application store began to focus more attention on itself...

The proprietary advantages of WP8 - they partly compensate for the disadvantages, as is usually the case in our world of imperfect things :) These (advantages) of WP backgrounds traditionally and deservedly include HERE - free pre-installed navigation around the world, flawlessly working support for office files, ease of learning the operating system. All this does not make the system worse or better than android or iOS - for everyone, their personal preferences in certain details become decisive. But, I repeat, it is completely incorrect and groundless to put WP8 on some lower level in relation to its competitors - they all stand next to each other quite confidently.

Nokia Lumia 925:: Review:: Conclusions

The device leaves in highest degree positive impressions – especially among those who are already accustomed to counting great camera in a smartphone is the norm, and not an “auxiliary-optional” element. The ergonomics are top notch, the performance is impeccable, the display is gorgeous, and LTE will provide the fastest mobile Internet speeds to date. On the technical side, there are only complaints about the amount of memory - however, the complaints are serious: still, 16 GB without the possibility of expansion for an expensive flagship device for almost 25,000 rubles is ridiculous... It’s also strange to see the absence of wireless charging with a charging case in the background for a penny in cost very high price of the phone. Few people bother buying additional accessories, and this seems to be a serious marketing miscalculation - wireless charging, this spectacular potential advantage over competitors, is practically not realized, fading into the background and getting lost...

Regarding the price of the device, it is still advisable to suggest being patient and not getting excited. The same Lumia 920 fell in price over six months just to a moderately tolerable price - from 25,000 rubles to 20,000. There is no reason to believe that the price of the 925 will not “settle down” in the same way.

  • Appearance and Design

Already in the first reviews and discussions of the emerging flagship Nokia Lumia 920, the most complaints were about the size, body and even the material of the smartphone itself. Nokia placed its main bet on this device in the development of smartphones on Windows Phone 8. Literally everyone agreed that the Lumia 920 looked attractive in its functions and innovations until you picked it up. Weight of 185 grams and thickness of as much as 10.7 mm, and the size of the screen somehow immediately made us think about the ease of use of this smartphone. Of course, all sorts of sensors, wireless charging, and the same camera required a little more space than in a regular device. What if there was the same model, but thinner!?

It was precisely these remarks that Nokia was guided by when designing the new model of the Lumia 925 smartphone. Maybe that is why it turned out to be very similar in characteristics to the Nokia Lumia 920, but thinner, lighter and with a body made of a different material. Weighs new smartphone already 139 grams, although the screen is the same size as before - 4.5 inches. The Lumia 925 has become thinner, now 8.5 mm thick, 2.5 mm thinner than the 920 model.

It is also worth paying attention to the body material, which Nokia first began to use in smartphones of the Lumia line. Almost all models Windows based Phone 8 is made of either polycarbonate or simple but pleasant plastic. The new Lumia 925 model was conceived in a metal or, rather, a combined body. It turned out that the back cover of the smartphone is plastic, and only the frame is made of metal. It is precisely the joints between these materials that did not turn out ideal. Already in the first hour of use, dust, dirt or clumps of cat hair immediately accumulate in these places if there is an animal at home. Of course, it’s all easy to clean, especially since the gaps are shallow and nothing important will be damaged. However, it is almost impossible to disassemble the device and remove the battery.

Thanks to the use of new materials, the Lumia 925 turned out to be more rigorous and outwardly more technologically advanced. Now there are no bright design elements, external streamlining, or a sense of sportiness that are inherent in previous models of Lumia smartphones. Most likely, the Lumia 925 is designed for serious people. If Nokia Lumia 920 looks youthful and stylish, then new model Suitable for business people in formal suits. Even the color palette of the cases of this model speaks precisely about this: light grey, black, white. There is no red or yellow color in the design of the buildings.

The Lumia 925 turned out to be slimmer and lighter not only thanks to new materials, but also due to new technical solutions. For example, the model lost the very wireless charging that the company was so proud of. Now for these purposes you need a separate cover that supports this function.

    Screen Features

In fact, it’s difficult to find anything fundamentally new in the Lumia 925 display. The diagonal is the same as in the 920 model, measuring 4.5 inches with a screen resolution of 1280x768. The only difference in the new device is the AMOLED matrix. Therefore, the color reproduction of this smartphone seems somewhat distorted towards brightness. This feature can already be corrected using software methods, with the help of the latest Amber update. Now you can adjust both the warmth of color rendering and gamma so that the new display produces a picture like a regular LCD. If you plan to seriously engage in photography, it is best to make the settings exactly the same as those of the Nokia Lumia 920.

Despite the HD resolution and high pixel density, visually at close range there is a feeling of grain in the image. At arm's length there is absolutely nothing to complain about, but at maximum brightness, flaws are visible up close. PenTile technology makes the screen brighter without increasing power consumption. And it is precisely this that, apparently, does not work perfectly. If you look closely at the black letters on a white background, you can see individual pixels. Although this, of course, is already nit-picking.

The new model contains all proprietary technologies, thanks to which screen readability does not decrease even in direct sunlight and during fast scrolling. Even on a clear day outside, texts from your phone are easy to read. Thanks to PureMotion HD+ technology, you can scroll the image on the screen as quickly as you like without the slightest distortion.

Nokia Lumia 920 has become a real discovery for those who like to take pictures or shoot video with their phone. It would seem regular smartphone The camera made it possible to take excellent pictures in any weather and even at night. This is all thanks to PureView technology. Even in a shaking vehicle, it was possible to shoot video without distortion. The new Lumia 925 has the same camera, but still a little better. It is 8.7 MP with the same PureView technology and mechanical stabilization. The camera now has six lenses, which gives it a little more light capture. Externally, judging by the photographs, it is difficult to find any particular difference between the cameras of the Lumia 920 and 925. This applies to both photos and videos. Video recording is carried out in 1080p and sound recording on the new device is just as excellent as its predecessor. Don't forget about the brand software from Nokia, which will appear along with the Amber update. For example, the application.

    Specifications

The Nokia Lumia 925, like previous models, has a Qualcomm MSM8960 processor with two cores and a frequency of 1500 MHz. Together with the Adreno 225 video accelerator and 1 GB of RAM, this does not look very advanced from the point of view of any flagship Android phone. However, all this stuffing easily copes with both phone functions and advanced mobile games, and with other applications. Both work and play are very convenient and comfortable.

Now the new Nokia 925 no longer has wireless charging, and besides this, the built-in memory is also somewhat reduced. Smartphones sold in Russia and Ukraine have only 16 GB of RAM, which is half that of the Nokia Lumia 920. And memory expansion using microSD cards impossible due to the lack of a slot for them. What all this is connected with is still unclear.

In terms of energy consumption, the new device is the same as the Lumia 920. It only seems more economical, but after several days of use it is immediately noticeable that there is not enough charge. One advantage of the Lumia 925 is only in the screen technology, but with active use it is almost invisible. A smartphone that is fully charged in the morning and uses all functions, applications and games will already be discharged by the evening. If you take the phone out of your pocket just for calls and conversations, then the battery charge will last for two days.

    General conclusion

The positioning of this smartphone is not entirely clear. It seems like Nokia designed it for those who would like Nokia model Lumia 920, but thinner and lighter in a metal body. The camera is a little better, which cannot be said about the AMOLED screen with PenTile technology. Yes, the phone has become lighter, but there is no wireless charging included. More elegant and stylish, but the body has become more strict and businesslike. The amount of built-in memory has decreased, and expanding it has become impossible. Therefore, it cannot be said that the smartphone has become more modern.

It’s worth choosing a new product from Nokia if you don’t mind the small amount of memory for such a smartphone and the non-uniform body. Otherwise, it is best to purchase a proven Nokia Lumia 920 for an already reasonable price today.
