Yes, the Magic Remote is included with LG TVs, if I'm not mistaken, from the seventh series onwards. In such cases there are no problems at all. Everything will definitely work. There is no need to talk about any compatibility between the remote control and the TV.
If you have a TV of the sixth series, or lower, then what should you do? After all, I want to buy such a useful and convenient device, but will the remote control work with my TV model? I want to immediately note that if your TV does not have a Smart TV, then you definitely do not need a remote control. He's no use.
In principle, if you came to buy a remote control in a regular store, then there should be no problems. Most likely, the store has the same TV as yours, you can check compatibility. But as for purchasing in online stores, everything is more complicated there.
Let's look at the two latest models: AN-MR500 and AN-MR600. In theory, the AN-MR500 works with 2014 TV models, and the AN-MR600 with 2015 models. It is clear that not all TV models are supported. But this information is nowhere to be found. I looked at these remote controls in various online stores and on the LG website. And what do you think, I haven’t found specific information on compatibility anywhere.
This means that for the AN-MR500 it is written that it works with all 2014 models. And on the page with the AN-MR600 remote control there are several models that seem to be exactly supported. There is such confusion there that it is simply scary. Moreover, the description indicates several specific models TVs, and in the comments, LG representatives write about compatibility with other big amount models. Some, however, support the remote control when connecting an additional Wi-Fi/Bluetooth adapter AN WF500.
Really, you can break your head there. Nothing is clear. Now the main question: is it so difficult to post a list of compatible TVs for each Magic Remote? Is it so difficult to indicate which models support the remote control and which only have an adapter? The most interesting thing is that this information is not even on the LG website. As a rule, only a couple of models are indicated there (with which the remote control is included). I don't understand this, to be honest. Maybe I just didn't find this information. In this case, I will be grateful for the hint.
Will LG Magic Remote work with my LG TV (Smart TV)?
I would like to collect on this page a list of TVs that work with one of two Magic Remotes: AN-MR500, AN-MR600. I think that the old models can no longer be considered.

Before you start, do a simple test: point the remote at digital camera(for example, the one on your phone) and press any key. If at the same time you see a flashing light in the camera display, the remote control is working (and the problem is most likely in the TV), if you don’t see anything, there is a problem with the remote control.
1. The batteries on the remote control are low.- when you press the buttons on the remote control, the red indicator in its upper front part should light up. If this does not happen, the batteries may be dead (or there are none at all). Check (preferably in another device or using the indicator on the batteries themselves) and replace them if necessary.
- Check the functions of the remote control selectively - if nothing works at all, the batteries are most likely dead.
- Make sure the batteries are working.
- The polarity of the installed batteries must be observed according to the indicators on the remote control.
2. The remote control has lost connection with the TV (or has not yet been connected). This is one of the most common cases. The Magic Remote works via Bluetooth and in order to control the TV with it, you need to “introduce” them.
But even if you have already done this, the TV may forget your remote control. This can happen due to a glitch or if you hold down a combination of buttons for a while BACK+HOME- after a few seconds the functions magic wand will stop working and you will only be able to use it like a regular remote control (buttons only). - this could be a short-term glitch that can be treated like this - leave the remote control alone for a few seconds so that the pointer disappears from the screen, then move the remote control again;
- if this does not help, then you need to re-register the remote control in the TV (point 2 of these instructions);
- change the batteries if none of the two options above help.
