How it works

Moreover, for successful payment, constant synchronization with the “cloud” is not necessary, since tokens generated in advance are already stored in memory mobile device. Owners of Android smartphones do not need to constantly keep their finger on the scanner during payment, since not every Google device is equipped with this same scanner. The main means of protection is screen unlocking, which already requires entering a PIN code, graphic code or the same fingerprint. If you try to disable unlocking in settings, Android Pay will automatically erase all payment card data for security reasons.

An official note appeared on the Moscow City Hall website stating that metro passengers will be able to travel for just one ruble from May 23 until June 23, and they must use mobile service for contactless payment. Then the news was edited, instead of almost free travel there was a 50% discount. However, no refund ever occurred; in addition, the offer itself only worked with Sberbank MasterCard cards.
The unpreparedness of large cities for the launch of Android Pay is not yet so critical against the backdrop of a total lag in the regions of the country.
