They weigh more than two kilograms and, moreover, are much larger than a box with a smartphone, so the cost of shipping such an accessory from China is much higher than the cost of shipping a bracelet or smartphone. I will tell you below how all this affected the price, and now let’s move on to studying the scales.

In general, this program can be downloaded from the App Store and Google Play, but just a week ago the version in these stores was far behind the current one, so if you downloaded the program from Google Play, you simply would not see the possibilities of its connection with scales. I downloaded Mi Fit version 1.4.641 and it worked with the scale without problems, so I recommend you download it or more new version, if the option from Google Play and App Store “does not see” the scales.
To connect the scales with the application, you just need to launch Mi Fit on your smartphone, turn on Bluetooth, and step on the scales. The program itself will find the device and, if necessary, update its firmware.
The application is very simple - with its help you can see your weight, the difference in weight between different weighings, a graph of weight changes, as well as the BMI (Body Mass Index) value.
In your profile settings you can add relatives and friends. When one of them weighs himself, the program itself will record the result and link it to to a certain person, based on weight and BMI value. If two people have similar parameters, during the next weighing the application will ask you to indicate which of these comrades just measured their weight in order to correctly link the data.
You can also specify a goal in the settings, for example, the desired body weight, and with each next weigh-in, the application will show how many kilograms you have left to lose or accumulate to the desired value.

Xiaomi has created a beautiful and simple bathroom scale. Personally, I don’t see any special features here that would allow us to call the Xiaomi Scale a truly “smart” scale. The proprietary application shows basic information about weight and allows you to store this data, as well as the BMI values of various family members and acquaintances, but nothing more. In the case of Xiaomi Scale, you do not receive any recommendations or additional data.
In the Xiaomi Scale online store they cost 99 yuan, which is approximately 800 rubles at the exchange rate at the beginning of June. The scales were presented in honor of the 5th anniversary of Xiaomi in March 2015. The manufacturer promised them for only $16, but at the moment they certainly cost 3 times more.
The scales were purchased on Aliexpress and arrived in Moscow in 10 days. The gadget comes in a durable cardboard box: the design, appearance and style are completely identical to the packaging of previous Xiaomi products.

By pulling the tab, the top cover is removed, underneath it is the snow-white glass surface of the scales and with the silver Mi logo under the glass.
Under the scales there is a special stand for the legs and a section for batteries, which our Chinese friends “carefully” removed :)

I don’t have precise instruments, so I compared it with what I have: with ordinary electronic floor scales and luggage scales :)
So, compared to the old scales, I got a difference of exactly a kilogram.
But there is no difference with luggage, I weighed the box with sports nutrition.
The weight of 2 kilograms was not noticed by the gadget, which seems logical. Measurements start at 5kg.
The most interesting thing is that all my experiments with weighing different objects were not included in the application statistics (they were filtered automatically), which is encouraging.
I conclude that the old scales were lying by 1 kg.
